“Location, location, location! Bass Cove Landing is right at the mouth of the cove and at the edge of Lake Huron’s open water offering quiet solitude but also easy access to shoreline paddling and exploration. The well appointed kitchen is a chef’s dream with an oversized fridge and plenty of room for your family to gather as you prepare meals. The guest bunkhouse offers the perfect little retreat when traveling with multigenerational families who need a quiet place to escape the hustle and bustle of the main house. We found it perfect for a young family with an infant while the grandparents and other adult children stayed in the main house. The trails were easily accessible from this home and with it being “outside of town”, it was a perfect place for us to connect as a family running in all different directions and rejuvenate together before heading back to the grind of everyday life.”

“The ladies had a great time staying at the Old Mill camp! The large bunk room was better for sleeping than I thought it would be. The kitchen was exceptional , with plenty of refrigeration for all 16 of us. It was very spacious and loaded with everything we needed! The game area was great for late night games and crafts. The living room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably. The only drawback was the bathroom, especially with 16 women. There were long waits to use the one shower and toilets especially in the mornings. But overall our stay at the camp and the island was excellent.”

“How lucky we were to find this cabin! The location is beautiful and peaceful. We heard and saw loons every day, and also enjoyed the hot tub, campfire and kayaking. There was plenty of space for 9 people and 2 dogs. 10/10 would recommend. The people at Drummond Island Hotel were very friendly as well.”

“The ladies at the office were very welcoming and friendly. Great location Amazing view out the huge windows in the living area and dining room. Home was very roomy and tidy. Grounds were well maintained. Kitchen was stocked with whatever you needed to fix a meal with. Was very peaceful and had excellent sunsets at night”

“This was a unique and comfortable stay in an absolutely beautiful location! The house is enormous! With 2 living areas, 2 full kitchens, 3 bathrooms, and multiple bedrooms, there's enough room for a very large group to spread out for privacy. The kitchens were very well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and utensils for cooking. 4 kayaks with paddles and life jackets were available for use in the quiet bay. We loved sitting out on the dock to watch the wildlife - deer, cranes, eagles, and even an otter! The house was clean, comfortable, and uncluttered. It does have well water, so if you're bothered by the naturally occurring odors from the tap, bring bottled water. The home is very close to the ferry dock and has easy access to all the island restaurants and amenities. Our hosts were kind and responsive and even allowed us to check out a bit late, which was so helpful. We highly recommend it and would love to come back!”
