“Overall, one of the worst places we’ve stayed in Destin. And we’ve stayed at over 30 spots on the island. Very outdated - 1980’s. Incredibly smelly and moldy. No towels. No soap.”

“If you want to bring your boat and be on the water, this is a great place to be.”

“The condo was just like the pic, even better. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would ever need. Beds were ok not really comfy, but not the worse. A lengthy walk to the beach. When you got there you only had 4 feet of beach access for all the units. So forget about putting up a tent and enjoying a day at the beach unless you go to the public access. Same for the boat dock if you would like to fish 4 ft. Is all you are allowed. That’s all the units total. Stay clear of the HOA. The couple we met made it very clear about your boundaries & they did not like renters. LOL If you follow the rules, (and there are many) you will be Ok. I can’t say enough about the condo. It was beautiful & and we had a great time. We would certainly go again!”

“Most issues are with the location. Leaking gutters drop water 5 stories to the roof over the into below us, causing a banging noise, very irritating. No Keurig type coffee maker, limited kitchen, fridge did not work well/easily overwhelmed. Bathrooms are tiny. It’s a cozy place, not great but in a great location.”

“I would not recommend this place, or rent with destin pointe a second time. All aside the condo was nice, clean and as described. The. Bed was comfy, the community was nice. The condo was loaded with beach items. The third night of staying the door lock started to malfunction. I messaged the host about the problem and they said someone would take care of it. After 2 baseballs games in the fl heat we arrived back to the condo to be locked out. The door lock was not fixed. 30-45 min later someone brought us a key and we got in. The next day a lock smith came to repair the door. No body from Destin pointe was with him. This was unacceptable. Besides that, there were only blinds in the master bedroom and living room. So everyday at sun up, you were up. No sleeping in. The doors in the condo were all hard to close. The little details matter.”

“The house is beautiful. It’s large and spacious. A tip is if you love natural sunlight take the top room the view is beautiful. We loved the colors! The pool was awesome. The ac worked great on the hot days! The kitchen had ton of amenities. We loved the community in general! Everyone was kind. The private beach was nice. The extra pools were all clean and spacious. Rain comes under doors. Mold (what we suspect at least) in the kids room. The frogs were insane and difficult to keep out of the pool. It’s also important to note as a mom of a toddler there’s no physical lock on the front door it’s locked by a keypad on the outside and it’s a pull down handle so littles can easily get out. Destin Pointe LLC is a cluster. They double booked our house and gave us 2-3 days of stress over it. ONLY 2 PARKING SPOTS allowed. For their “esthetic” they only allow 2. Booking via Airbnb, the binder in the house, and staff nothing is aligned which is highly frustrating for the price paid.”

“The unit was beautiful. The kitchen was very well equipped. The mattress was comfortable and unit is decorated very well with much attention to details having books, binoculars and games for rainy days. However, I was very disappointed that the selling point for me to choose this home was due to proximity to local attractions and the beach. My daughter is 16 and I am 46 we are healthy and fit but a 9 min walk to the beach is farther than expected. We did enjoy the complementary chairs and umbrella but the distance was not what I expected. I thought looking at the pictures that the beach we could see from the Magnolia home unit was the beach we could attend- however we tried and were told that was not our beach and we couldn’t sit in those chairs- understandable but frustrating that that beach was my assumption when booking the room. Lastly I read and maybe misunderstood that the distance from the boardwalk was a 1/2 mile when in fact it was 3.3 miles away making me spend 386 on car r”

“We were a little throw off when my kids forgot to push chairs away from the pier and playing with a canoe and we received a call that the owner saw while she was on the camera and asked us to move them back . Mind you my kids shouldn't have placed back but it felt weird after that knowing they were watching us outside. but other than that the love is amazing”
