“L'Amour Rock was a beautiful breath of fresh air for a weekend getaway for two. We felt so peaceful and relaxed in such a nice home that was cozy and clean. The views are spectacular with multiple places to sit and take in the sunset. We spent most of our time on the deck since the weather was unusually mild for May. From the long driveway walks, to the unique yurt like treehouse style, to stunning rock-ledge views we really enjoyed our time. It was the perfect place for us to rest and restore and enjoy the beginning of our 35 year marriage anniversary coming soon.”

“Place was nice. I do agree with another review that they could use a dining table for eating but with the dual fireplace I understand room is tight. My only other complaint was out back there was a big pile in the yard of rusty nails and screws so if you have dogs or small kids be careful if they’re running around but the location was great. Not far from downtown and quiet. Having the kayaks and the dock was nice.”

“Such an wonderful experience! The Shire was the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend in nature. We enjoyed kayaking, sitting by a fire, and soaking in the hot tub. The house is so charming, and the property is simply magical. Mentone was also very cute. We loved getting tea at The Mad Hater, and dinner at Elevation and The Wildflower Cafe was delicious (make a reservation). We hope to come back every season to see all Mentone has to offer.”

“This cozy little getaway was great. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked perfectly, which was needed as this place is a bit off the beaten path. We stayed here due to hiking we had planned in the area and it was a great kickoff point. The place was extremely clean and even had a Ninja coffee maker and Ninja air fryer. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was all the security deposits and what not that had to occur outside of the AirBNB platform. It worked out in the end, but it just seemed off and fraud like, even though it wasn't.”
