Delightful Retreats

“We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was clean and cozy. We loved the views from the enclosed porch. Hope to stay at one of their properties again!”

“Walnut Cottage was a beautiful and convenient place to spend two nights with my mom and pup while we visited the lovely Mentone area. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, and the screened -in porches were so enjoyable. The fenced in backyard made it especially nice for my dog. The host was very responsive and kind to accommodate our early check in request. Would love to return for another visit!”

“The house matched the description in the listing and we were very happy with it. It was a very relaxing and comfortable space. The swim spa needed servicing (low water level, temp, and cleaning) but the host was very responsive and had a tech out first thing the next morning to fix it. The host was responding to emails later in the evening which was much appreciated! If you intend to use the swim spa at your stay, be sure to check it immediately upon check in and set the desired temp as it takes some time to warm up. We really enjoyed our stay!”

“Great place, great host”

“The view is beautiful, and the host is AMAZING with responding fast and helping with any additional questions. If you are looking for a small getaway, an anniversary trip, or a birthday surprise, this is the place. We had a wonderful time. Thank you, Delightful Retreats!”

“I cannot say enough good about this place. It was wonderful. I would have been happy just hanging out inside. It’s secluded and yet close to town. Staying here we had all the comforts of home . We were so thankful that the owners shared this tiny house. Thank you.”

“Good interior space, lots of windows and trees. Good water pressure, everything you might use, including washer/dryer. Outside area was as described and lit up, just needed some light cleaning. My personal favorite part is that, for a fee, my beautiful well behaved dog and closest family member was welcome! So thank you so much for that! I recommend getting there before dark, but i had to call in for help and the realtor got right back to me and helped me navigate my way in. Very patient. Very nice stay.”

“What a lovely fairy tale cottage! Peaceful retreat from daily hustle! Highly recommended! The only thing missing was a hammock under those beautiful oak trees! Had there been one, the nap would have been glorious! Thank you to the hosts for preserving this little stone cottage on a branch of the Little River and sharing it with us! 😊”

“Overall this was a great stay for our small getaway! The sheets had some mildew stains but they were at our feet so we didn’t make a fuss! The place was jsut as pictured on the inside. We do wish it would have been more private- there are neighbors directly across the street and on both sides of you so you do have to close all the blinds for any privacy. The place was very clean, tidy and well kept. The host was very kind and responsive! I do highly recommend to have your email printed or screenshot because service is spotty!”

“really excellent location and awesome deck/riverfront access situation. home was pretty dusty inside and because there is so much decorative stuff inside. managers were super responsive to a issue with the hvac and fixed it to our satisfaction.”
