Covenant Property Management's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“To say there is central AC is an overstatement. The house uses window units and splits, but it takes a lot for them to drop the temp at all. The house smells of mold and mildew the second you walk in. Most of the doors are the original knobs and don’t actually shut, so don’t expect any privacy. The kitchen is very minimally stocked and I still don’t know why we were provided with dishwasher tabs. The bathroom does not have a mirror above the sink. There is a very small one on the door, but don’t plan on using it to get ready. The TV in the living room does not work.”airbnb

“Location, layout are great. Short walk to the beach. We rented bikes to get around and it was easy. But, the rental lacked a lot of conveniences and charm. After a long day of travel we went to make an ice water and discovered that the fridge lacked an ice / water component. Ice cube trays were eventually provided but they took about 36 hours to freeze. We ended up buying a lot of bagged ice for the week. Rugs at front and back door would be an easy touch to help catch sand and dirt and keep the unit cleaner but none are there. We ended up laying towels down. There are no lights in the backyard. Kids wanted to do a night swim but it’s completely dark except for living room lights. Hanging some strip lights would be easy way to make the backyard more enjoyable. No guest book. QR doesn’t work. We received an email after checking in to view the guest book online but it’s incredibly basic. No real info about the area is given. We liked SSI but won’t stay at this unit again.”airbnb

“We loved our stay at this home. The only concern we had after staying for three weeks was the flooring in the main living areas. It’s a tabby-esque material that is impossible to clean and is incredibly rough on the feet. My six-year-old skinned her knee and a couple of toes more than once. Just a heads up for families with small children! I doubt it would be a big deal for groups of only adults. We also could have used some backup sheets and bedding since our stay was a longer one, but we loved the experience overall. Lovely, quiet neighborhood.”airbnb

“Awesome house in great a location. Accessible to the beautiful beach and town with many restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, I had to rate the price at an "ok deal' due to the fact that there were No beach or pool towels. Is that reasonable for a house close to the Beach with a pool? We incurred extra expenses: cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, garbage bags and toilet paper because what was provided was minimal for a week with 6 adults and 1 child. Shouldn't this be an Airbnb standard? I am not asking for excess, but something reasonable for the size of the home and the number of guests it accommodates.”airbnb

“Beautiful condo, we had everything we needed! The beds were so comfortable! I especially appreciated the closet space, tons of hangers, shoe storage etc. Loved that there was a sound machine in the Master. You’re really close to East Beach, you don’t even have to get on the main road to go to the grocery store etc. I also appreciated the condo being dog friendly, tons of picnic tables, grills, nice pool! My only complaints would be the Master shower made a high pitch noise when turned on. It was pretty obnoxious. I’m also not sure where “Tidewater Retreat” comes into play. The condo complex is Island Retreat. We were so confused when we arrived, not understanding why we couldn’t find “Tidewater Retreat” 2513 is the building number and #6 is the unit number- we did struggle to find the right location and condo. Maps kept taking us to McDonald’s.”airbnb

“Inaccurate check instructions left us stranded in the middle of the night and a slow response from the “emergency” line left us with no options to start our stay”airbnb

“Looked just like the photos, the beds were comfortable and variety of firmness so we were able to choose what was most comfortable. The place was clean and had decent storage space. The pool was perfect, pretty easy walk to the beach (do have to go through the “woods” a bit). There were some odd things missing like no kitchen scissors, few utensils, the tv remotes were out of batteries so we had to go buy some ourselves with none in the utility drawer and it being Memorial Day. The front door locking mechanism was extremely annoying, unsure if they had it turned to auto lock but it would start locking as soon as we would open it and then the dead bolt would slam against the frame. This feature was very frustrating with a kiddo who needed to be able to get in and out easily as well as immediately locking when we ran out to the cars to grab things and then had arms loaded. Didn’t want to just leave it open due to amount of mosquitoes. The sliding glass doors were also quite hard to open”airbnb

“In addition to not receiving the login code until I had to reach out to AirB&B for assistance two hours after check in time (not sure what the issue is with the happy system they use), the house wasn't cooled, the hot water heater pilot light was off and we had to turn it on after having cold showers the first night, there was a mouse & droppings in the laundry room, the grass hadn't been mowed in far too long - which caused too many mosquitos and horseflies, a shower door was coming away from the caulk, a closet door in 2 guest rooms is not secure, a loose toilet seat in the master, the hooks in the laundry room are not secured in the wall and fell off twice, there's a 5 inch nail sticking through the attic door in the hall .... this rental needs work as does the communication/correspondence from Covenant. It was disappointing to say the least.”airbnb

“We really enjoyed our stay! The pros were the location, the convenience of the pool, and the comfortable home. The only major con was the walkway to the beach was infested with mosquitos, so we were never able to use it to head to the beach which was a major selling point for me since it would've been so convenient with two toddlers. Obviously this isn't the company's fault, but just an inconvenience to our stay. We ended up using another public entrance nearby within driving distance. Otherwise, highly recommend!”airbnb

“I accidentally booked the wrong arrival date and contacted both the host and Airbnb within SEVEN minutes of making the reservation. The reservation was non-refundable, and no refund or adjustment was offered. Because of this experience, I was unable to use the accommodation and am disappointed with the outcome. $2555. I understand being non refundable but after looking at Covenant's website and how they're a christian based company that they would understand the simple mistake but they refused to negotiate other than offering to rebook on a future date. I asked to rebook in November but was told rebooking had to be in the same month. I did rebook for the following week in the same area with a host that is not a property management company. God Bless!”airbnb
