Manager Review

Connect Coastal Vacation Rentals

Connect Coastal Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.50 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Overall, we loved the area. I will say the beach is not walking distance as you have to cross the main road. I wasn’t prepared to have to drive in my car and get sand everywhere. We also thought the pool was walking distance, but it is not. There is a pool that you can drive to, which was very nice. We did reach out to the host about the cleanliness of the house, but got no response on the issue. The pillows were stained, the fans were gross, we did not have toilet paper or trash bags, thank goodness there was a number we could reach out to but we had to wait until the next day to get those items. Also, bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash, they only supply mini bottles. We just weren’t prepared for those items as other Airbnbs have supplied them all. There was also items left under the beds from other guests.

The AC did not work for the first 4 days of our trip. When we arrived it was already 78 in the unit. I reported it and eventually the host stopped responding. At times it got up to 83 inside the unit and my family couldnt sleep. I would take the kids out constantly. I asked for a partial refund for the days it didnt work and the host would not respond. We understand that things do happen sometimes but when things go wrong the host needs to step up to make it right. We are very disappointed by how this was handed and won't stay again.

Outside needed some work, so it looked a little different from photos. Inside was gorgeous and lovely. The kitchenware is older and very used. Few supplies like a couple of trash bags and not every sink had hand soap. No parking pass even though the host said they’d bring one, there wasn’t one. Hard to reach the host. Host gave two different codes for check in.

The family had a good time! The pool code and gate to the beach need to be updated. Great location!

This home was very inviting! It is very open and bright, and it is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed how close it was to both the beach and the causeway as we have family in Dickinson. It was a close drive to see them without having to be way down the island. The only issue we had was the listing noted that a crib and pack n play were available, and before leaving I reached out to double check and neither were in the home. And it listed an iron and hair dryer, but also, neither of those were in any of the accessible closets. We had a funeral to attend, so we had to go purchase an iron. We love the home and it worked well for our family, but we will be more cautious about the amenities next time since it was missing important items we needed.

Very disappointing stay. We ultimately checked out early and Airbnb reimbursed us. The most frustrating part was that neither the owner nor property manager responded to our concerns or attempted to resolve them. There were multiple issues during our stay including the AC not working properly, excessive water condensation throughout the unit that left the floors wet and created a serious slip/fall safety hazard, no functioning key fob provided for access between the hotel and condo areas, and a pull-out sofa that was extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for sleeping. I understand that issues can happen in any property, but communication and effort to correct them matter. We did not feel supported and ultimately did not feel comfortable continuing our stay. I would not stay here again.

Before checking in, we asked host if TVs can connect to youtube/netflix. Host said will check and never reply yes or no. The day after we lost power, asked host if the power lost is just our unit or the whole place? No response. A few hours later had to ask him again and then he replied that eta will be 2pm for power restore. Ran out toilet paper and trash bag (only provided 1 trash bag and 1 toilet paper roll), so we asked for extra, even asked again in a few hours later since he did not replied that we can come over and pick it up if available. He said will ask the housekeeper to bring over. Those never got delivered to our room. Yet he copied and pasted a long paragraph asking if we want to extend our stay for more days.

Overall, very spacious and overall well kept. however response time needs improvement. Entrance to the laundry room was dirty, even after requesting to have a broom/mop, i was simply left on read.
