“This is the first time I had been to Florida and it exceeded my expectations. Waking up and being able to walk 5 feet out of the house onto the dock each morning was a great experience. Next time I’m in Florida will be looking to come back to same place.”airbnb

“Nice house in great location, the only thing the pool didnt have a handheld skimmer to clean pool as some tree stuff flew in pool during rains, no big deal i bought one and left it there, the main bedroom had a window air conditioner that never work, first day i ask about it as that room stayed hotter, they said they send someone over, no one ever came, rest of house had air working so we just use a fan. The second last day we were there the pool pump stop working, i called them, they said next morning someone will be there, no one showed up, and we left the next day, not a big deal even know the pool was starting to get dirty. Overall, it was nice house is great location 10minutes from everything and we enjoyed our time there”airbnb

“The house was gorgeous and the location was perfect! Easy access to the ocean and beautiful fish under the dock. Perfect to watch the sunrise and drink a cup of coffee. Some of the issues we ran into was there was only one role of toilet paper in each bathroom with no extra and there were only one role of paper towels. There were also no seasonings so we had to buy some to cook with. Other than that we loved the house and would stay again. We just know to bring the necessities.”airbnb

“We spent 7 days here, Very peaceful and beautiful canal. We did rent a 22ft boat and use the dock to store for 3 days, this was a huge plus. No complaints”airbnb

“Extremely disappointed with my stay. This place was inundated with Sargassum. You could smell it out front immediately, and once in the home upon opening the front door. Also, noisy neighbors that are very loud and drunk. Every morning we were awoken very early by either landscapers, or some sort of workers. the Accumulation on Atlantic-facing beaches in Marathon such as this home caused strong, "rotten egg" odors from decomposing seaweed. As the seaweed decomposes on land, it releases hydrogen sulfide and ammonia gases. Low levels cause a "rotten egg" smell, eye irritation, headaches, and nausea. Prolonged or higher exposure can cause vertigo, confusion, and memory issues. Individuals with asthma or underlying respiratory conditions can experience severe breathing difficulties and airway inflammation, such as myself. Trip was ruined and had to leave early. The entire back portion of the home was covered with the Sargassum. COCO PLUM vacation rentals made no attempt to refund me.”airbnb

“We had a great stay in the keys, and this property was in a great location. The availability of a boat slip and a pool and their willingness to accommodate pets were all positives. The house was clean and there were plenty of linens and Beach towels. Our one complaint was with the kitchen and the TV in the living room. The Keurig did not work correctly and, while we notified the host of this, there was no resolution. And, the large TV in the living room would not login and so it was not usable. We brought a gaming system to play games on our trip and ended up bringing one of the small TVs down from a bedroom to use on the last day. We communicated this to the host as well, and there was no resolution. There was no blender, but when we asked about this, the host delivered a blender the same day. So while this was a good property, it could’ve been great if those things were fixed.”airbnb

“The house is HUGE with plenty of space for a large family/group of friends vacation. Unfortunately the space is not boat friendly and desperately needs maintenance. We arrived to the home and multiple things were broken or damaged. The dock sustains severe changes in tide and the pillars are all rotted away with no stability to dock a boat. Upon arrival the TV in one of the living spaces, dishwasher, toilet paper holder, towel racks and first floor entry gate were all broken. Coco plum was quick to have some temporary fixes but not before our boat became pinned underneath the rotting dock causing it to take on water. We spent a significant amount of time scooping canal water off the bait to prevent it from sinking. Coco plum did offer a $200 refund but I wouldn’t risk your boat at this property without significant changes made to the “dock”. Overall a great property if you are not planning to use a boat but would rather enjoy the pool and fire pit.”airbnb

“We had a fantastic time together in this beautiful house! The pool and the views were amazing! The house was perfect for our trip with our dog, he didn't want to leave and neither did we! The house was fully stocked and we had a few great meals on the grill! My daughter and her fiancé joined us for a few days and we had so much fun swimming and relaxing at the house. We will absolutely be back! Our only concern was that there were several times throughout our trip that there were random people (Coco Plum employees?) who entered the property unannounced. Taking out/bringing in trash cans multiple times, putting a hose in the pool with no instructions or notice and sending an AC company to perform routine maintenance inside the property. Granted the house is beautiful and we were there for an extended stay (2 weeks,) so it’s reasonable to expect someone to want to check on the pool, etc…we really just didn’t want it to be a surprise every time, it made us uncomfortable.”airbnb

“BUYER BEWARE! The photos of the outdoor space are NOT accurate. The photos display a beautiful, serene space where occupants can enjoy the outdoor space on the water. However, shortly after booking, I received a message that the boat slips were “under maintenance” however this was a minor concern to me since we were not planning to use the boat slips. However, when we arrived we discovered the entire outdoor spaces were not only unusable but were complete construction zones with fencing obstructing views, trash, ladders and complete eye sores. It was communicated immediately to the owner and a resolution has still not been made. I have stayed in many air bnb and this is the first time I’ve ever written a negative review and am very disappointed and dissatisfied by this unexpected and completely inaccurate description. It feels like an intentional bait and switch. Would NOT recommend.”airbnb
