The hosts were warm and welcoming from the start, and Oscar, who manages the property, made everything easy — communication was perfect throughout. There's something really peaceful about staying in a yurt. It slows you down in the best way. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, and the setting is special: a private retreat surrounded by exotic fruit trees and gardens, with great views of the Bay, all still within Oakland city limits. The neighborhood is quiet and family friendly, and you're close to breweries, restaurants, cafés, parks, and several grocery stores. We even got invited to the community bonfire, which made us feel like we belonged there. We'd recommend this to any traveler who wants a stay that feels like an experience rather than just a place to sleep. We'd come back in a heartbeat.”

“This was such a cute and cozy place and we would definitely stay again. Very quiet and peaceful spot. The tiny house was just enough room for my husband and I. Oscar was very responsive and quick when we needed anything which wasn’t much at all. The shower was a little finicky but he did put in the instructions how to operate it. Overall we had a great experience being that it was our first time in the Bay Area. We needed this as we were there to celebrate the life of a dear friend of ours who passed away in May. She is from Oakland and this was a great way to celebrate her. Thank you guys so much for making this trip so special.”
