“This place was immaculate and so beautiful. It was like brand new and everything was perfect. We had the best time for my mother in law’s 80th birthday and it was perfect that there was a room on the main level for her so she didn’t have to navigate too many stairs. There is a path to the beach right there and they have a wagon and chairs you can use. Our weekend was very rainy so we didn’t use them. We spent a lot of time on the covered porches watching the rain and we stayed nice and dry. The patio furniture is so nice and the view from the upper balcony is amazing. The beds were very comfy and the bathrooms were all clean and gorgeous! We rent in Galveston often and this was the best place we’ve ever stayed in. We will absolutely rent here again.”

“We enjoyed our stay. The view from the deck was beautiful and peaceful. The couches and beds were comfy. We were able to find everything in the condo. The only thing I wish was that it had a table to eat at on the back balcony. We would have enjoyed having some meals watching the beautiful sunset as a family. We would definitely stay again.”

“We had a blast! The pools were so nice. We loved being a little further down the island and away from the touristy part. The beach was quiet and beautiful!”

“The 4 of us enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. Having the 2 ensuite bathrooms and 2 King size beds in the bedrooms was just what we wanted. We used the dryer for the beach towels we brought after we had a lovely swim in the pool. The terrace was pretty, with a view of the town of Galveston. Although we would have liked a view of the Gulf. Our view was more spread out to include buildings and parking lots, which was OK too. We all said we would stay here again which is high praise.”

“288 to Bluewater Highway for a great escape from Houston. Avoid the traffic on 45 and downtown Galveston. Beautiful private community with more amenities than anywhere else on island. The 25 minute drive further away from Galveston is so worth it. Best vacation we’ve had in Texas.”

“Great view, very clean, close walk to club house for food, drinks and swimming. Close walk to the beach. Love Pointe West!”

“First off, the place is gorgeous. Very homey and nicely decorated. No weird odors, the beds are comfortable and the showers are nice. They have a lot of beach amenities so you don't need to take your own. There is a golf cart but it's off limits. Overall the place is really nice and room for a family trip. Now for the issues. Dog hair is everywhere! If you have allergies, this isn't the place for you. The floors were dirty as well and left our kids socks black. Didn't feel comfortable letting our 8mo old to play on the floor. Also, there was trash leftover from the last renters. A rather annoying pet peeve was that there were no filters for the coffee machine, when we sent a message to the host, he stated that they don't provide them which is annoying because there are different types of filters so how are guests supposed to know which ones to bring? Other than a deep cleaning needed and coffee filters, it was a nice place.”

“Awesome place to stay! Host was absolutely amazing and pleased with the room! Again, home was a pleasure and I would stay here again! I loved the view and the home was excellent! We had so much fun! The only thing I don’t recommend is NOT bringing a service animal. I was harassed by the people who live there and the property manager. He told me I can’t have my dog at all. He didn’t care; he was to be made aware of the dog. The property isn’t to have a dog at all. He didn’t care. I made him aware that this was a service animal and he cannot deny a dog that was registered. I had to provide him with my dog’s registration, her shot records, and give it to him immediately. My dog was kicked out of the pool area and told that we cannot be in there with her at all. When it says on the wall, no animals besides service animals. I did not have my dog in the pool and was not going to put my dog in the pool. He made me tie her up on an outside gate. Besides that, it was great!”
