Coastal Vacation Properties's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Before arrival, we were asked through an external link to either pay an $87 non-refundable damage waiver or provide a $2,500 refundable security deposit. We felt this should have been clearly disclosed before booking. Unfortunately, the issues continued upon check-in. We found dirty linens with dog hair, dried dog urine, dead roaches, a dirty/peeling bathtub, and a pool full of bugs and debris. After a long drive, it was disappointing to spend part of our first evening cleaning and addressing these problems ourselves. What concerned us most was the management company's response. There was no apology for the condition of the property, and the initial response focused on their limited support hours rather than the issues we encountered. Many of the concerns were never fully addressed during our stay. To be fair, Taylor was courteous and professional, and Airbnb ultimately helpful. However, the condition upon arrival and the handling of the situation fell short of expectations.”airbnb

“property needs sprayed for ants. Kitchen slider door does not lock. Main hall bath has a slow tub drain.”airbnb

“We absolutely loved our stay at this house. It is walkable to all sorts of restaurants and bars. It is so close to the beach. The pool is awesome and we spent lots of time sitting around it. All pictures and descriptions were accurate. Nothing negative to say about this place! Highly recommend!”airbnb

“Only improvement is would have been better to have a beach umbrella and a couple chairs to go with the unit.”airbnb

“Enjoyed our stay at Beach Villa’s Unit 305. The unit was as described. The view is beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Only issue was you are only allowed one vehicle. The unit sleeps 8 and we arrived in 2 vehicles. Coastal Vacations did nothing to assist with an additional parking pass and made us find alternate parking for our 2nd vehicle. Seemed like a small ask. Also, maybe it’s in the works to be repaired but the pool is in very poor condition from the hurricane.”airbnb

“WOW - What a location - right on the beach. Close enough to walk to “downtown” for food and entertainment. We would stay again for sure.”airbnb

“This was an excellent house and overall stay! They were so receptive to any questions. The location is perfect, and this is one of those few rentals that the pictures don’t do it justice! The house is beautiful with all new furniture and more than enough resources like sheets, blankets, etc. the pool is heated to a perfect temperature for Florida weather, and the access to the canal was great! We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back soon.”airbnb

“Clean, spacious property with lots of natural sunlight. Incredible pool with great outdoor space with shade to hang out in. We had some challenges with the grill and a few of the appliances — but the host was quite responsive and helpful. We also had a miscommunication about whether or not there was baby gear on premise, which the host went out of their way to refund us for. Super close to the beach and bars/restaurants. Very walkable. Overall, great customer service for any issues that cropped up, and a great space overall.”airbnb

“We did not really enjoy our stay in Ft. Myers Beach. Things I would want to know: Pros: Location if you want "action" and don't plan to sleep; Space- 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; Clean- a bit worn down and in need of updating but clean Cons: Access/Entry- a different 6 digit code for the garage, the front door, the actual door to your unit. Wifi: there was NO wifi the entire time and we needed to work. the router was reset multiple times. we were told "sorry". NOISE: this location is VERY loud. the sliding door to balcony blocks most of the street noise but the master bedroom window, which also faces the street does NOT. the noise goes on for a long time at night (restaurant/bar directly across street) and then at 6 a.m. the street sweepers/delivery trucks are out. The second bedroom faces the interior hallway, there is an overhead light in hall shining directly into window and the noise outside that room is also very loud. None of us slept well and we were glad to leave.”airbnb
