“A very good place to stay, with nice fruit trees, which is an advantage if you like to cook. Even though the pool wasn't working or clean, the stay was perfect.”airbnb

“We stayed for five days as two families with a small child. The house itself is beautiful and cozy, but unfortunately the overall experience did not match the price. We paid extra for early check-in but waited about 30 minutes outside because the access codes didn’t work, and communication was very slow. We were also disappointed to learn that the pool and outdoor area were shared with guests from another unit, which was not clear to us before booking. The kitchen was also missing some basic cooking items. Overall, for around $2,000, we expected better communication, privacy, and organization. We’re giving 3 stars because we enjoyed the house itself, but the guest experience definitely needs improvement.”airbnb

“A lot of instructions after you paid but the house is really comfortable.”airbnb

“Overall, the place is clean and the location is good. However, the living room door to the backyard was broken and would not lock, posing a security issue. Additionally, toiletries were insufficient; for 8 guests staying 3 nights, we were only provided 2 travel-sized shampoos and conditioners. After receiving no response from the host for several hours, we eventually had to buy our own.”airbnb

“BEWARE! NOT GOOD! I have traveled with Airbnb for multiple years. This is experience was terrible. First, booked the Airbnb a month in advance and the AC was broken on arrival. Host made us wait with technician and open doors for them. Took half the day. Property covered in spider webs, both inside and out. My daughter got bit multiple times. Pool and in ground hot tub controls not working, controls were locked and we were refused help. Above ground hot tub had mold on it and was extremely dirty. Multiple broken objects including lights and couches. Finally host offered late check out for an extra charge. I paid for late check out to leave at 4 pm. Messaged multiple times if this was fine and received confirmation it was. Suddenly host started claiming card was declined, but I had screen shots. They then insisted because they had guest the next day I couldn't stay late regardless. We asked if they could give us an extra hour. No we had 30 minutes to leave the house at 11am, not 4 pm.”airbnb

“I had booked this for work and part family vacation, for 5 nights. First 3 nights were fine, they have an additional rental agreement, but the place was ok. On our fourth day, we went to the zoo all day and came back to groceries on the counter/fridge, and we were not told anything. It alarmed us, we spoke on the phone with one of the three or four hosts, and he said no one had been in the house, asked me to remember if I got the groceries or had someone deliver. I told him to check all his cameras and get back to me, not blame me. We ended up feeling unsafe with a 8 and 5 year old, with someone gaining access at anytime with the door code. We checked out, which was its own hassle, but it took this rental company a day to admit it was their fault as they sent in a grocery concierge for the next guest, even though we had it two more nights. They don’t care about my or your families safety, they refunded for the two nights, but nothing for the hassle of finding a hotel at 9pm Friday.”airbnb

“While this home is beautiful it is NOT a private property. The owners live in the guest house that shares the yard. It was not at all disclosed. Had we not had our whole family we would have moved locations. We were very disappointed and we were told the owners were leaving and going elsewhere which was completely untrue. For the money we spent it was quite disappointing not to get what we paid for. On top of it the pool and Jacuzzi heater never worked the entire day. They kept going in and out, even though they said they were fixing it.”airbnb

“Location was pretty good and very close to the highway but on a cul-de-sac with a little traffic. The problems started when we went to check in. We showed up at check-in time and unfortunately the cleaning staff was there so we got into the unit almost an hour late. Then the air-conditioning failed. I reached out to management and they told me to change the settings. Unfortunately, that didn’t fix it. So we had no air-conditioning for three days. They sent out a tech, but he was still there when my wife came back alone, and she didn’t feel comfortable having to be there with an HVAC technician one on one on our spring break vacation. Then we noticed that both bathroom sinks were clogged. I had noticed that one was draining slowly in the master bathroom, but I didn’t know what the cause was. My son showed us that the sink in the bathroom he was using was having sewage gurgling up. That happened for several days although we did report it. The bathroom smelled horrible.”airbnb

“Although the location and style of this property have potential, the description of this home was not accurate. It was NOT meticulously cared for, it is beat up. Broken A/C, stove, cupboard doors, kitchen and bedroom blinds. Missing kitchen blind. No grill as listed under amenities. Dirty carpet, tile, wood floor, and window sills. Pet fur on the couch (no pets allowed). Hole in master bedroom wall. Missing light switch plate. WiFi info was wrong. Worst part was when we arrived it was 90 degrees....A/C was on and never cooled. When I called the next day it took them a looong time to respond and they didn't believe me. It took another day to fix it. Although we asked for and received a partial refund, in recognition of these issues, we will not stay at another Coast to Cactus property in the future.”airbnb
