City Comfort
4.76
City Comfort's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The location is great, and the apartment was what was listed. The negatives came from one of the hosts, so I hate to lump them together. We had 5 people staying and they only provided us with 4 towels. I messaged twice the morning after arrival and was told they would send more. 12 hours after I was told more towels would be delivered we arrived to find they had not at 9:30pm. I called and was told they were still enroute, which after 12 hours is ridiculous! Another host drop them off promptly and apologized for the delay. Other than that, everything was fine. As others have stated, the A/C units are a bit challenging, as one room was always freezing and the other 2 stayed warmer.”airbnb

“We enjoyed our stay however the beds were pretty uncomfortable. We also asked for a late check out and were told no. Other than that it was as pictured in the photos. The location is nice, on a lovely walkable street with lots of restaurants and shops.”airbnb

“This is a lovely home in walking distance of all the local amenities. Close to a park, resturants, coffee shops, and convenient store. Felt safe and comfortable. I was unaware of the on going renovations until after completed booking and paying. I was informed with the instructing on the day of check-in. The beds are VERY high of the floor, so if you have difficulty moving and getting around this may not be the home for you. The parking is very challenging, even following the local rules and paying the parking fees (which there are many rules) I still received 3 parking tickets in 3 different parts of the city, in which I have never have received one in my 38 yrs of driving until now. Very frustrating. These was received after speaking with a parking attendant on where to park and what the laws were upon my arrival. The officials at the courthouse said it is a problem. The app will let you pay regardless of the laws. Overall quaint little home with lots of local things to do.”airbnb

“The communication and location were good, but the amenities especially the division of bedrooms were not up to par for the price being paid. The walls and flooring were old and squeaky. The bathroom didn’t even have a proper lock on it which was very disappointing. This listing definitely needs better maintenance.”airbnb

“# Honest Review: Don't Book – 1/5 Stars **Paid $1,500 for 9 days. Location was the only good thing.** The property arrived with stained carpet, a clogged bathtub, broken items, squeaky beds, no kitchen cutlery, and only 2 dishwasher pods for a 9-day stay. The owners offered to fix things during my stay—meaning they knew about these problems but rented it anyway. At premium pricing, you don't pay to supervise repairs. You pay for a clean, fully functional, ready-to-use home. This property failed on every level. Guests shouldn't deal with maintenance issues they didn't cause. Overpriced and poorly managed. Save your money.”airbnb

“We intentionally chose the location based on previous visits and knowledge of proximity to public transit and retail conveniences, and this place didn't disappoint. However, there were several basics that were missing which made us feel that we were invited to camp, but not to make ourselves feel at home - better suited to a 1 or 2 night stay, but not for 5. Nothing to drink - no water filter jug in the fridge, no tea bags or coffee, and absolutely no condiments of any description made our first night challenging. We arrived at 11 pm after a full day of travel, with a sick child who needed salt to gargle with and filtered water - imagine my dismay at having to go back out to purchase water and salt at that hour. A request for a wine bottle opener was never honored, so we had to open by pushing the cork in and got sprayed with wine. On checkout day we were woken at 8:45 am (5:45 am west coast time, which is what we live on) by the cleaning lady when we'd paid until 11 am! Not okay.”airbnb

“Great house and perfect location! We had to clean the coffee maker— it was nasty where the water goes. The grill is in the most absurd location and it was out of propane.”airbnb

“Our stay was nice. House was nice but needed some upkeep. Location was good for restaurants and shopping. Beach was a longer walk than expected. Had to use beach supplied chairs and umbrellas which were expensive. They would not let you bring your own tent, chairs or umbrellas and no bikes could be taken to get to the beach. The trash truck came every other morning at 5 am and was extremely loud and woke up the entire house. There was a grill which is not mentioned in the listing which was a nice surprise. We enjoyed our stay but not sure we would stay again.”airbnb

“There were some very dirty dishes in the cabinets that we had to clean before we could use them. The trash bin cabinet in the kitchen is also falling apart and needs to be fixed. The lighting in the master bathroom is not good at all and the toilet paper holder needs to be repaired in the bathroom too.”airbnb

“I think the place was ok with a few exceptions. The mat on the kitchen floor was dirty and stained. The outside entry mat at the front packed with sand and it appeared as if dirt from inside the house was swept onto the mat and left there. There was no remote for the garage door.”airbnb
