“We’ve been coming to Chestnut Bay for years and always have a great time! This home is in a great location with a beautiful view of the water, and we really enjoyed our stay. The home was a little smaller than we expected. The listing says it sleeps 13, but we weren’t quite sure how that number was calculated. There are five bedrooms with a king, two queens, a full, and two twin bunks. From the listing, we thought the bunk room included an additional bed, but it did not, so sleeping arrangements were a little different than we anticipated. Chestnut Bay has great pools and activities. The discounted waterpark tickets is an added perk! We will be back!”

“The place was great and in a private gated community”

“The house was very roomy and provided plenty of space for our group. However, the property needs a much more thorough cleaning and some maintenance. There was trash in the sofa and underneath the TV stand, the kitchen floor had not been swept, and the refrigerator leaked. There was also a hole in the wall along the stairs leading to the lower level. The family room sofa needs to be thoroughly cleaned, replaced, or have the covering replaced. We also found spider webs throughout the house, including in the kitchen, family room, bedrooms, balcony, and on the balcony furniture. I understand this is a rental property and that normal wear and tear is expected, but the home should be thoroughly cleaned and inspected before each guest arrives. The house has great space and potential, but addressing these cleanliness and maintenance concerns would greatly improve the guest experience.”

“We enjoyed our stay. We wanted a peaceful vacay and it’s exactly what we expected. This is our second time enjoying this home this year and we really love the location and home.”

“Great little getaway but house #41 is not elderly friendly. The step going in the house is almost impossible to get up into the house. Everything requires steps. Very nice property but definitely could use some accommodations for older individuals traveling with family.”

“I always try to be fair when leaving reviews, so I’ll be honest. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the Airbnb upon arrival was disappointing and not up to what we expected. We reached out regarding some concerns, and while housekeeping was offered, we had already unpacked and settled in with multiple kids, making it difficult to have people coming in and out during our stay. I appreciate an attempt at a resolution, but I also believe guests should arrive to a space that is thoroughly cleaned and ready from the start.”
