Check In Coastal Stays

Check In Coastal Stays's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The house is beautiful, very well decorated and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised by its proximity to restaurants, supermarkets, dog parks and activities. We highly recommend.”

“- AC was the biggest problem. Inside house temp was never down below 76 during day or night as per thermostat reading and technician said it's fine. Who can stay in FL in 76 F while outside is 90+. No fan was available in any room or in living area except so called Master bedroom. - No DISHWASHER available in the house or not even mentioned in the Ad's description. - Main bathroom lock was not working, anyone was able to unlock it from outside while you're inside. - Flex room was shown as a Master bedroom which was the smallest room in the house with barn door. How can someone present it as a master bedroom? - And master bathroom doesn't have washbasin and it was smaller than any powder room what I have seen. - Backyard door wasn't easy to close. Overall, we two families didn't like this Airbnb at all, we should have choosen Hotel instead. I generally don't leave any review but this time I had too as our long weekend was totally wasted.”

“The house looked like the pictures just a little different layout than what it seemed. The pool was a very nice size and had plenty of toys and floats for the pool. There was hair and pet hair on carpet along with pet nail clippings left from previous people so wasnt the cleanest but all around it was a decent stay.”

“Great house in nice location but a house is being built next door. Luckily the construction was not too bad during our stay. Would visit again but would like more responsive communication instead of lots auto messages.”

“We were disappointed with our stay. The property did not match the listing photos, particularly the outdoor spaces, which were a major reason we booked. Much of the patio furniture was worn, dirty, or didn’t feel safe to use, the fountain area was overgrown, and the front chairs were unusable due to dirt. There was also active construction immediately next door beginning around 7:30 a.m. each day, with workers overlooking the pool area. This significantly impacted our privacy, prevented us from enjoying the outdoor amenities. None of the construction was disclosed before our stay. While the host was polite and offered to have pressure cleaning done after we arrived, these issues should have been addressed before guests checked in. Unfortunately, the experience did not reflect the price we paid.”

“Location great, neighbors were very kind. Really enjoyed the short distance to the water park, beaches and restaurants. The entire floor front to back were not swept or mopped. We were unable to use the middle bedroom due it being infested with fleas. After sending several pics of my nieces legs, feet, back and hands..I was told they needed a video. I went back in the room, and I had 4-6 fleas on both of my legs(from the knee down). My niece is allergic to fleas and mosquitoes. She was being ate up while she slept. The best offer I got was that a pest control company would be out to inspect THE DAY WE WERE TO CHECK. Mind you this was my daughter’s 16th birthday trip and we drove over 10+ hours. I requested a refund, so we will see.”

“Overall we had a good stay. The house looked just like the photos and was clean and nicely set up. The screened-in porch was great and we really enjoyed spending time out there. Having a washer and dryer was also very convenient during the trip. One issue we had was with the WiFi. When we arrived there was a note on the fridge saying the WiFi can be unreliable and that refunds would not be given for it, but this was not mentioned in the listing beforehand. The first day we had no WiFi at all, and after that it only worked for us about every other day. This may not matter to everyone, but it is something future guests should probably know in advance. The bathtub stopper also did not work, so the tub would not hold water and we could only use it as a shower. The home itself was nice and comfortable, but the neighborhood did not feel the safest at times. Overall we still had a good stay and enjoyed the house, but there were a few things future guests may want to be aware of.”

“Where should I start? First of all, it is a very small place, similar to a one bedroom trailer. We fought through staying here but it was mandatory that we be in Largo. It was the worst experience. No water for almost a day and a half. The water does not get hot there. They tried to have someone fix it for two days. The internet/wifi was constantly out. I lost days of work. They kept trying to fix the internet. Left lad The owner was showing the home on several occasions so there would be uncomfortable walk throughs with strangers. They were constantly working on the place. They are always responsive fast, but way too many problems. Now they are trying to blame us and charge us for a guest not being able to come in after us? They had serious maintenance issues and trying to blame us? They had people over there constantly and they said it smelled when we left? They have serious problems, not the guests, but the structure, roof, water, internet, etc. We fought through the he”

“Most disgusted I’ve ever been on arrival.Caked old urine on toilet, mold/fungus on ALL silverware in drawer, knives in knife block had crusted “pesto-like” food remnants—and put inside the block so that was contaminated as well.Measuring cups w/ old food. Stains/old spills on lining of dishwasher door. All cupboard faces had old food or liquid dried on them.Gritty, dirty carpets w/hair+debris.Dust over every window/baseboards/inside drawers/every countertop-caused wife’s allergies to go haywire. Owner said cleaner “had a bad day,” offered to send back. 1)That person can’t clean 2)We were only there 2 days, and there was at least 2 days of cleaning to be done.Offered to refund the cleaning fee but they should have paid us for all the cleaning we did—then told me to file complaint with ABnB. Neighbor banging some loud ball against a wall until 1am kept me up and frustrated.Asked owner for a new water filter for fridge, they told me no and to just reset the filter light so it goes off.”

“I will share a few simple examples and let you decide if this is the place for you. The window shades did not offer privacy and were repaired with scotch tape. The bedding had dirt, hair and goo on the cover. There was no hot water for the shower. Enough said?”
