“We had a great stay here! It’s a beautiful, private, CLEAN cabin - we loved it! There is so much to do in the surrounding area and it’s located in truly a perfect spot to get to everything in just a few short miles. We brought our 2 pups along since it’s a pet friendly spot, so I do wish the listing was a bit more prescriptive with just how prevalent bears are (specifically right up on the property). We thankfully didn’t encounter any, but nearly every entry within the guestbook mentioned bear sightings right up on the property (front porch!) that had me nervous the whole weekend (with my dogs). We would (and likely will!) return, just more aware of the potential bears :)”

“If you need a place to stay on the lake, have dogs, and are okay with just the basics, it’s a good find. An amazing feature is being able to dip right into the lake from the property’s dock and stone stairs.”

“There were leaks in the roof, the grill and kitchen were not clean, they didnt take the trash from the previous guest”

“Stop at dollar general before you arrive!!! You will need paper towels, trash bags, and TP For what you pay, there should not be an allowance for these items”

“I will lead with the fact that had a wonderful time. The cabin is beautiful, private, well stocked, nicely furnished. We used every room and every bed and really enjoyed the space. Great mattresses, nice bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, all very clean. However, we did run into cockroaches in the kitchen despite it being pristine. We were unable to eat on the top deck because the sun shade is broke (and screen doors) BUT the bottom deck is lovely and shaded, we just didnt want to carry the food all the way down there. We were notified after arriving that the hot tub was broke but we were going to be reimbursed. Sadly the recliner upstairs is broke too :( It really is a lovely place and will continue to be if it gets some little fixes and pest control.”

“The property was lovely, and we enjoyed the general layout and amenities. However, future guests should be aware of significant maintenance and safety issues. The bed frame was structurally unstable and collapsed under standard, normal, intended use, with only my average-sized, 61-year-old husband on it, due to clear wear and tear or pre-existing damage. Additionally, we encountered wet, stained basement couches and a warm refrigerator that took hours to cool down properly. When we reported the safety failure, the actual property host never reached out. Instead, we have only dealt with the management company, Carolina Properties, who chose to pursue an aggressive $1,300 structural replacement charge rather than recognizing these pre-existing maintenance issues. This hands-off hosting made for a highly stressful, tainted family vacation with unfounded accusations and assessment.”

“I ran into the owners while on the lake. The owners informed us that the property management group requires the property to be without linens. If I were the owners, I would find a different property management. Having two sets of linens should be a standard. The property was nice, but carrying linens and towels in addition to luggage up and down the stairs to get to the home, then up the spiral staircase if needed up stairs was exhausting. The kayaks were very nice, the access was great. There is no service, but the internet worked great. The address listed appears in google maps at the end of the street, but it is actually the very first house in the right. We were very confused upon arrival and due to the no service, we could not call the property management group.”

“The cabin was nice and in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, our trip was greatly tainted as a staff member entered the home without our prior knowledge or consent, knowing that we had already arrived, while my wife was alone sleeping. He came to retrieve a medication. There was no immediate danger or harm that would warrant such an intrusion. He claims that he both knocked and yelled out before using the code to enter the home. This is not possible as my wife was sleeping only 10 feet away from the door. After we notified them how upsetting the situation was, they did not take responsibility or try to rectify the situation. Instead, they pulled the Airbnb review they had previously left for us. We can only assume that was done in an attempt to retaliate against us, knowing we would leave a negative review. Anyone can make a mistake, but the continued lack of professionalism throughout this entire situation has showed us a much deeper concern.”

“We booked this house for our family vacation. 1st I'll say the house was terrific and the dock was very nice. Carolina Properties shouldn't be managing it though. Their employees misquoted an extra night stay and took nearly 12 hrs for Kevin to respond. The kitchen is fully stocked but the pots, Frying pans and knives are useless. Landscapers showed up to spread mulch and blocked our driveway for 2 days. Couldn't enjoy our decks because they were working all around the property. I towed my motorcycle to the property to ride through the mountains. The Gaurd at Rumbling bald resort let us in without issue, but the next day I rode the bike out for a few hours and upon arriving back a different guard wouldn't let me through the gate stating No motorcycles allowed. I spoke to the director and she said the HOA don't allow them. Nowhere in the rules provided to us stated no motorcycles. This info upfront would have been important. If you ride a bik, book somewhere else”

“The home and views were absolutely beautiful! Very secluded with the most amazing view! The outside space was clean and relaxing! We loved the hammock. Beds and linens were very comfortable as well. The only negative review I have is on the response time and home instructions. Communication was through different platforms that I could not keep up with and check out instructions/house rules were hard to find as well, but this was not super inconvenient for us. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.”
