“What an awesome location. I spent hours researching different airbnbs and comparing the view, amenities and closeness to neighbors….this one was so beautifully secluded. We had an amazing time with our 6 month old baby. No problem getting up and down the mountain roads with a Honda accord. The restaurant at the NOC Center was great and a great place to rest after hiking. We would definitely come back!”

“This getaway to Almond was so very much needed! ❤️ I can’t even describe how wonderful our cabin was the views, the privacy, and the location were absolutely perfect. There was so much to see and do, while still giving us the chance to slow down, relax, and enjoy each other. We celebrated our one-year wedding anniversary here, and it truly couldn’t have been a better place to spend it. 🥰 We loved the area so much that we’re already planning a trip back this fall to experience the train ride and see those beautiful fall colors! 🍂🚂🏔️ Almond, NC definitely has a special place in our hearts now. ❤️”

“The views are absolutely spectacular! The house was well stocked and there were plenty of activities nearby. Grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants were close as well. Perfect stay for a large group/family!”

“Needs Maintenance! Not worth what you pay. CONS: -Had a mouse on day 1, Carolina Mtn Vacations wouldn’t respond until next day -NAILS IN DRIVEWAY, I reported this. They said they’d “note it.” - railings are loose/ dangerous. Have rot. Some deck boards r rotten - Huge Hornets nest by front deck!!! Wasps nests hidden under trash can lid, etc. My son was stung 2x and couldn’t walk for 2 days of vacay. - Master bathroom INSIDE master bedroom!!!! No door, not even a full wall. Pics are deceiving. It was nasty and stayed moist in that room all the time. Moist carpet. -Keurig was slimy. A knife with white mold on it was in knife block - ankle high weeds covered fire pit area so much we had to weed it before we all could use it. -road up is steep and scary, a pain every time you want to go out - u can hear everyone/thing in this house, no privacy PROS: BEAUTIFUL view and so QUIET - clean linens AND blankets - All pans/dishes you need - Pool table and hot tub in great, clean condition”

“The house was nice and we had no problems with anything. The problem was the terrible driveway to the house. The road was not maintained with many wash-out ruts. The bushes and shrubs were not cut back well and we were fearful of our vehicle being scratched. I wouldn’t rent the house again because of the poor condition of the roadway.”
