“Roaches in the kitchen guess renovations were rushed idk maybe didn’t check to see if things were ready to have people stay, anyway I’ve stayed at other spots they own and it’s was clean, fun exactly what I thought I’d get, nonetheless everything else was fine, they offered to move me to another spot or refund a night if I left early. They have other units I’d recommend not this one at least for another week get the creepy crawlers out.”

“A cozy hideaway in the woods. Comfortable couch and love seat. Comfortable beds too. Could have used blanket throws for the living room. The kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed. Could have used more bathroom tissue and Kleenex. Did not have an opportunity to use the hot tub but it was clean and inviting. There were even toys for our two year old. We loved this place.”

“My family has stayed at this hotel for over 10 years, always in the North Tower, and unfortunately our first experience in the South Tower was a mess. We arrived to dirty floors and blonde hair all over the sheets, to the point that we went to Walmart and bought our own bedding. The dryer didn’t work, which we weren’t told beforehand, and the shower pressure felt like sprinkles with barely warm water. There were also dirty pans when we went cook breakfast. We went out and purchased our own dishes. There was also a walk pug detached from wall, which is a safety risk since we had a 2 year old. The unit is also very outdated compared to the photos, which definitely need to be updated to accurately reflect what guests are actually getting. After years of great stays here, this was extremely disappointing and definitely not the experience we expected. Pictures were taken of all of these things.”

“The house itself was pristine and perfect for pups. The outside fenced yard is a major perk! The only downside is the thermostat was set to 73. We could adjust it down for a bit but it was set to go back to 73 at 11pm so it was extremely hot at night. You could not adjust it without a code. I called and was instructed to send an email with zero response. It was extremely frustrating and very hot-and I have two huskies. We review pup friendly stays often @huskytalesandtrails IG and this one would have checked all the boxes if the stay hadn’t been so miserably hot. It was very disappointing for the money we paid to be that uncomfortable.”

“We had a nice time. The Airbnb isnt not really whats described. It is not updated. Maybe the kitchen. Theres so many doors it's like a maze. This what looks like 2 hotels combined into 1. It worked and had a great view like we wanted. But for the price the condo was too outdated in my opinion. While there the service desk was rude not helpful. Really had very little info. Anytime it would rain they would shut down the pools and even if its not raining it will be hours before they would reopen the pools. Overall we enjoyed our vacation but for the price I feel like it could have been cheaper.”

“This is a very simple house- no frills. Plan on bringing everything with you from Spices to ziplocks. They offer a few trash bags, dishwasher pods, and laundry pods, 1 roll of paper towels and cheap toilet paper. I would have given a better rating except it was dirty. The toilets had rings and there was dust everywhere. I told the management company and they responded but didn’t offer to have the space cleaned. They just acknowledged the complaint. Read the reviews- many people have mentioned that it needs attention. We were house hunting - for that - it was perfect because we didn’t have to drive up and down a mountain to get to another mountain. No real view - just trees from the front.”

“We've stayed at this resort many times over the years and this was the worst unit we've stayed in. It is clear that it is treated simply as a money maker and nobody actually cares for the unit. Not only was practically all the decor inside original to the building (20+years old), but some of it may have never been dusted. The floors were not cleaned well and there was trash left from the last visitors. I had to buy a hairdryer because the one in the bathroom was broken. The floor lamp in the living room was broken. The lampshades in the bedroom are so gross. Random splatter stains on practically every wall. Super dusty fans. One set of bedding had a gross stain and the blankets looked to be decades old. The view from here can't be beat, being on the 16th floor is the perfect level. Gorgeous sunrise, dolphins and pelicans dropping into schools of fish... All the wonderful things we love about the Ocean Walk. If this unit were properly cleaned and updated it would get five stars.”

“Perhaps the worst Airbnb ever. I think the host should visit this property and see what type of home they are actually renting. I was looking for rustic charm but not a dank basement smell from the moment I stepped out of the car. The interior had the same smell and poorly lit interior. The description mentioned a low yield well but we got in late night flushed the toilet 3 times and had literally no water. We called Carolina Mornings emergency number, yes a late arrival but we had no water. The promise of a call back never happened until after 9 am the next day. I was hoping the mildew smell would disapate overnight but it affected the two others I was with as they have allergies and health issues. The Carolina Mornings representative offered a maintenance visit and a dehumidifier to help. There was one in the house that I dumped twice overnight (that shouldn't be a guests responsibilty). We abandoned the rental the next morning as a heath concern for the other 2 in my group.”

“Area was beautiful very hard to access though also they say pet friendly but there is absolutely nowhere to take your pet to the bathroom the house itself is also nice but not well kept at all spoon arrival there were hair balls on the ground and on the curtains floor was not swept there was left behind trash including wrappers of personal use items.. a sock and the carpets all look very dingy they tried to charge me $200 for a carpet cleaning fee when the carpet was stained before I arrived I did bring my dogs so I’m sure there was some added normal traffic wear and tear there as to be expected all and all the housekeeper need to do a better job and not blame the the person who is paying a large amount of money to stay there”

“OUR WATER TURNED BROWN. On the second day of our stay all water in the house turned brown and smelled like rotten fish. I have pictures I would like to include but AirBnb doesn’t let you submit pictures. When we were looking over the things included during our, wifi was clearly included, but in the details they said that wifi was not included. After the water turned brown, the owner of the property called us and we told her that the water was brown, but she just brushed it off and started telling us about how to work the shower. We spent most of the end of our trip thirsty and had to buy water just so we could have something to drink. We were trying to contact someone to speak to them but with the lack of wifi and how bad the service was, it was extremely hard to contact anyone.”
