Carolina Dreaming

Carolina Dreaming's guest rating of 4.51 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

There were a few good things; The location is amazing, the view is amazing, garage parking was nice, once you are actually given access codes, it is easily accessible. Although, there was also some bad; The room was dirty, there was dirt under and around the bed. The space is NOT toddler friendly. We had our 15mo with us, and constantly had to pull them away from hanging cords and hanging power strips. We had to call 30 minutes later than the check in time to get the door code that we were told we’d receive before or at 4. Sat on hold for 20 minutes, then was made very apparent by the representative that they scrambled to get us access after being put on hold for another 10-15 minutes. To sum up my recommendation, this was a fairly good price for a nice view, just be weary that there were quite a few hiccups along the way that put a sour taste in our stay.

Host was responsive. I had to reach out and ask about parking pass instructions because instructions talked about “pay to park”, just felt a little confused. Got to resort and sat in the hot parking deck waiting on 4pm to get door code. Had to reach out and make sure they had my cell phone number incase I missed the door code text. Host messaged back to inform me that room was not ready yet. (Would have been good to know beforehand) This morning while packing up for 10 am check out at 9:30am the cleaning crew came in the door while I was in the shower and scared my daughter. They did go back out once they realized we hadn’t checked out yet. Room was nice and clean though.

Great location. In a quieter area. Felt safe and secure. Resort has obviously been completely renovated and is clean and the pools pristine. Note- dining table only has 3 chairs.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The unit was clean, comfortable, and met our expectations. However, the check-in process was disappointing. Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM, but we had to wait because the room was still not ready. While I understand that unexpected situations can occur, guests should be notified promptly and accommodations should be ready at the advertised check-in time. Other than that, the stay was pleasant.

We had several issues with this Airbnb. I stay in many Airbnbs and I am very easy going. This stay was bad. I let them know we would arrive at the 4pm check in time after they mistakenly called to confirm an early check in and cost. When I arrived they told me that check in was “4pm or later”. We didn’t get the instructions until 5pm. That was a Tuesday. I had reached out about the Tuhle I have on my vehicle. The response was to park on the street. Looking on a map there was no street parking. There was in fact a parking spot for over sized vehicles we were able to park inside the garage. We had a long drive and arrived to no towels in the room. Luckily I pack my camping gear on a road trip so we had towels I brought. There is no lock on the inside of the door. On Wednesday morning our door opened and a man walked into our room without knocking. He was dropping off the towels and bedding that was not in our room to begin with. The dishwasher is not secured. It fell out of the wall.

Very good location. Great view. Had what we needed. However the floors were dirty. Upon arrival my husband removed his shoes and within a few minutes his socks were dark brown. The coffee maker didn’t perk the coffee correctly because it was not the original pot and it was too short to prompt the coffee to come through. We could not get the tv in the bedroom to work at all. There were three remotes to the living room tv but no instructions as to how to get it working. I’m usually pretty tech savvy but it took about 30 minutes of trying different things to get it going. I reached out to the host about all this but they never responded.

You are paying for the location. The building is in need of updating and the office had brown paper on the windows and is not staffed. Very very weird situation. The condo itself needs updating. The box springs were ripped on the bed. The floors need to be replaced (the fake wood is peaking in places and it looks really old). The and in the kitchen need to be replaced. There were no sponges or scrubbies to clean the dishes so no wonder they need to be replaced. The towels were thin and cheap. The bed linens were thin and there was no blanket. They do not provide even starter paper products (there was TP but nothing else). We have owned an operated AirBnBs and this was on the lowest end of an experience out side of the location being right across from the beach. We got a discounted rate and it was still too much for the stay. When you pay a premium price there are minimums that should come with it and this was lacking in all areas. This was the most disappointing AirBnB

I would not recommend this Airbnb due to a very disappointing and misleading experience. The unit we arrived at did not match the photos listed online. It appeared that the pictures were either outdated or of a completely different unit. After entering the property and realizing something was off, we had to reach out to the company ourselves—only then were we informed that we would need to move to a different unit. This was never communicated to us in advance. Unfortunately, the replacement unit was in unacceptable condition. There was visible hair and leftover food, along with a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the space. Several items were in disrepair, including broken furniture, and even the remote control had batteries held in place with painter’s tape. Overall, the cleanliness and condition of the property were far below expectations, and the listing felt deceptive. The lack of communication and transparency made the experience even worse. Based on this experience, I would n

Family of 5, 3 children… very rarely come to Myrtle beach. Terrible place and terrible host. Please avoid at all cost! Airbnb refunded after an unauthorized cancellation, otherwise the (host of unit) multiple names were unhelpful and nasty! Unit has horrible smell upon entry, beds don’t have the proper blankets on them, with noticeable stains on the lower boxspring, toilets and bathroom areas hairy and dusty, untouched prior to our entry, hair in shower! Kitchen toaster, dusty and grimey, countered dusted with build in debris! Stove top calcium build up, and stove handles molded and corrosive! Dishwasher leaks when run kitchen sink for 15-25 seconds and it’s filled with about 2 inches of standing old moldy water with a pungent smell evading the entire unit! (Host did not accommodate once contacted, and only send an employee, and retracted any obligation to assist after Airbnb cancelled without authorization, claiming we need them to reinstate but Airbnb does no such procedure.
