Cape San Blas Vacation Rentals
4.67Visit website
Cape San Blas Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.67 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“There were boards on deck and beach walk in need of repair, there was a wooden door chipping in bedroom and the worse was the rusted out lock on the back door making it hard to turn to get into unit. There was a slight issue with roaches also. We were over charged and wish the property mgmt would have been more attending. It is a great location and would benefit from repairs making it more enjoyable for future quests. Including updated decorations, art and softer mattresses. This was our first stay at cape San Blas and we def would return. More research will be done on future locations.”airbnb

“The house definitely needs maintenance- there are a few things outside on the verge of becoming safety issues (protruding nails on the back stairs, worn/splintering steps, a loose board on the boardwalk, & back porch railings held up by zip ties). Several lights indoors were burnt out & not working, though the windows allowed plenty of light in. On a positive note, the location is fantastic. Bring right across from the only store on the cape made out stay so convenient & the private beach was great to let my toddler run free in the sand. If they had some maintenance done & improved their cleaning process, I’d definitely stay again.”airbnb

“We had a family emergency on the second day and contacted the host, our plan was to head back home immediately, they told me I had to wait to speak to the manager as I asked about possibly getting a partial refund. I called the office 4 times I sent messages via the chat 3 different times and each time It was a different story as to why I couldn’t get an answer regarding cancellation and getting a partial refund. I went to the office twice and they lady in the office was unaware of everything I was explaining to her and further told me that they had to wait for the homeowners to decide on whether I could get the refund or not. In the end I think we were treated very unfairly considering medical emergencies are not planned events.”airbnb

“I have stayed in Airbnb properties for over 15 years, including annual trips to Cape San Blas, and this is the first negative review I have ever left. This property did not meet the standards I expect from an Airbnb. After a 9-hour drive with four young children, we arrived to find no beach equipment available. The listing stated beach towels were not provided but did not disclose that there were no beach chairs, wagon, or other beach gear, requiring us to rent equipment the next day. Check-in was also inconvenient, requiring us to stop at the rental office to pick up and later return a physical key. Upon arrival, there were not enough towels for our family, stained sheets, broken blinds, and a large mold/mildew spot on the living room ceiling with water actively leaking onto the floor. When I contacted management, they brought more towels but did not address the other concerns. The response to my feedback was dismissive. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend.”airbnb

“We love the area but the house was not clean at all. Belongings were left from previous guests in the washing machine and dirty towels hanging in multiple closets, something that was noticed within 5 minutes of being in the house and impossible for cleaning crew to miss. Also we thought the house was clean because of the intense smell of bleach upon walking in but the floors in the bathrooms were not swept properly (very dirty behind toilets). The biggest complaint we that we killed 1 giant roach per day in the home. Also the lowest level under the house had trash everywhere, beer bottles, cigarette butts (none of our group drinks or smokes) and even a femine hygiene product at the bottom of the steps. Overall the cleanliness was awfully.”airbnb

“The house was nice, and it was very close to the gulf. We enjoyed the calm, beautiful atmosphere. And the beach close by was amazing! The downside is that all of the beds were extremely noisy every time you move. Also, being a lower level, every move the people make above you is also heard. We were here with a family that liked to be very attive until late at night, so we did not get the rest we would have liked. Next time, we will rent a stand alone unit instead of one that has someone renting the floor above us. Also, note that there is onlye 1 roll of toilet paper, so you'll need to purchase your own. There is only 1 packet for running the dishwasher. There is not even salt or pepper. Bring your own tin foil or any other paper products. There are also only tablespoons, not any teaspoons.”airbnb
