“The place is well worth staying at it’s quiet, peaceful, and in an excellent location. The only drawback is that you need to bring all your own essentials, including bedsheets, towels, soap, shampoo, blankets, and other personal items, as the cottage does not provide them. That said, it’s a great place to stay if you’re planning to visit the Thousand Islands from the U.S., as it’s only about a 23-minute drive to Alexandria Bay. I would definitely recommend this place if you don’t mind bringing your own supplies.”

“I grew up in the North Country and I stay several times a year. I needed a long stay for family reasons and Camp Caledonia was an amazing experience! There are several cabins and there was always help nearby, but there was complete privacy. The views were spectacular and the beds were very comfortable. All the amenities were excellent and the cabin was beautifully maintained and polished, while still having traditional decor for a fishing trip in a rustic setting. Access to Black Lake was very easy and the outdoor space at Camp Caledonia was lovely and well cared for, with a porch, fire pit, outdoor seating, and lots of beautiful surroundings to enjoy. If you’re unfamiliar with Black Lake, it is one of the largest lakes in the region, with no industry on its shores, so it is the perfect place for boating, fishing, swimming, etc. Lawrence and Megan were the perfect hosts!”

“The description is exactly what you will get. it was quiet, right on the water. it's not a 5 star hotel, it's a fishing cabin. the hosts are great. I forgot a baking sheet &she let me borrow one. we wanted to rent the boat & she gave us a great deal on it. unfortunately mother nature had other plans & we didn't use it. Remember to bring linens!! There was some pans, plates, silverware, a coffee maker. I can't wait to stay here again!!!”
