“The location is perfect! House was stocked with more than you’ll need. Even an air fryer, electric mixer, and a crock pot. The two story deck was so cool and when we had high winds, gave us a fun spot for the kids to hang out. Games downstairs were awesome and the washing machine is huge! Beds were comfy, couches comfy, the extra throw blankets were a nice touch and so often forgotten in Airbnbs. Communication with hosts was always quick and easy. Kitchen is a snug fit with the opening very small but is as shown in the photos. The only reason for 1 less star was the bugs…. Inside the house was a very large number of ants, fruit flies, and beetles, and when we arrived there were 6 very big (and luckily already dead) palmetto bugs (southern cockroaches). Highly recommend getting an exterminator to come in and help with the bug issue asap. Other than that it would have been an easy 5 stars and we will definitely look to stay here again!! Thank you for hosting us for a wonderful week!”

“We love ocean isle beach and generally this property is great. There were just quite a few items that slipped through the cracks with the companies they use to reset the house between stays.”

“Location was great. Far end of the island where things are quieter. Ocean views and beach access right out the front door. Perfect size and location for our 3 families visiting for a wedding.”

“The house was beautiful. It was a conflicting experience. The house needs a very deep cleaning. The pool area in particular was great, providing shade and comfort. The view was good and kitchen and decks were well used. Everyone enjoyed the Ms Pac-man machine.”

“I was just diagnosed with cancer & friends planned this trip for me. I walked into the house & almost stepped through the floor. The entire floor in dining area was sagging. I took video & reported it & they said to avoid it & they would get someone to look at it the next day. No word until late afternoon the next day & they said that after their assessment, ( which they never did in person ) that it’s safe and that we should be fine. I said it was not safe & that I was concerned for future guests as well. 2 of us just had knee surgery, so that was an extra concern. At 5 pm on Saturday night, their solution was for us to stay, move us to a nicer location (I said was gracious, but we were only there for one more day so it didn’t make sense), or to cancel the rest of our weekend & get out immediately! We chose to stay because we only had 1 day left and it was way more disruptive to our short weekend to move. DO NOT rent this house or anything else managed by Brunswick.”

“Disappointing stay here. Stayed with my wife, not a romantic place and its basically a motel room. Stayed in many airbnbs, this is my 1st negative review. It took us 30 minutes just to get inside because the keypad didn’t work, no unit number was given to us and management was difficult to reach. Inside, we found 5 mice/roach traps in a roughly 250-square-foot space (3 in the bathroom alone), stained yellow/brown linens, moldy grout, and a strong urine smell near the bathroom countertops. The Wi-Fi also didn’t work. Using the outlet in the kitchen area blew out my charger so I had to buy a new one. There was no hand soap provided despite what the listing says, and the listing provided no parking information. Also ZERO outlets remotely close to the bed. The only positive was the location, it was an easy walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. For the price, the condition, lack of basic amenities, communication, and safety concerns we would not stay here again”

“There was no consideration for our age with broken elevators and lumpy beds! The price we paid for broken elevators and no good sleep! I had to clean the bathroom, hair was everywhere! Why tell you anything you're not going to help! Was it because of who we are?”

“The home is beautiful and as described. It was great for our large group. However we chose this home because it had a pool. The pool did not get serviced by Brunswick Rentals until we called on Wednesday to complain about algae. The pool company showed up and put chemicals in it only- did not vacuum or try to clean the pool. It was not usable. By Thursday the algae was worse. We placed another call to have it taken care of. We were promised a phone call and a good cleaning so the kids could use the pool. We got neither. I sent a message on their app and got no response. Again we chose this home with the extra costs as it had a pool. It is frustrating to have an issue and it get ignored. Thank goodness it was not something like the air conditioner. Overall the home was very nice. Holden Beach itself is a beautiful community for families. Our family will definitely go back but we will stay away from properties managed by Brunswick Rentals.”

“We were very disappointed with our stay. I have never written a negative review before, but I feel it is important to share our experience for future guests. Upon arrival, we were given the wrong entry code and were unable to access the property for about 30 minutes while trying to reach the rental company. The main reason we booked this home was the pool. A few days before departure, debris from a neighboring landscaper's equipment was blown into the pool area, leaving the pool filled with sticks, rocks, and gravel. We reported it immediately and were told it would be addressed promptly, but no one arrived until the following afternoon. Even then, debris remained and the pool was not operating properly. Communication was poor, and the issue was never resolved before checkout. The home also had cleanliness concerns, including dirty floors, leftover trash, carpet stains, black marks on the walls, and deteriorated decking that caused splinters. Overall, the experience was terrible.”

“Ocean Isle is beautiful! The beaches were very clean and it is very relaxing. The house overall was pretty good. The views were amazing and there were beach chairs, toys, etc. My only issues: not very clean when we showed up, plumbing maintenance issue not taken care of after correspondence, and showing up at the wrong house and going in (address is 221 and not 211 as listed here). This 3-star review could easily be a 5-star review with those couple issues fixed.”
