“2 of 3 fireplaces were broken at arrival. Jesse said they wouldn’t be repaired until after our stay. So no fireplaces for us. On day 2 we opened the hot tub and were overwhelmed by the smell of chlorine. The water was yellow, cloudy, and foamy. I called Jesse and asked to have the hot tub serviced. He said the water was fine because it smelled like chlorine. I said the water looked unsanitary and asked him to come look at it. He replied, “I would rather have the house sit empty than be held hostage by your unreasonable demands. If I come out to the house it will be with the police to evict you.” When I said that felt like an overreaction to my request he just kept repeating, “I have offered you a refund to leave, if you choose to stay it’s on you, I will not be dealing with you.” 16 people were unpacked, two fridges and freezers full of food, and Lego sets opened on the floor. Moving wasn’t a practical response so we stayed. The house needs a lot of maintenance. Do not stay here.”
