One of our favorite touches was getting 2 complimentary glasses of wine at check-in at the tasting room, which was such a great way to start the trip. The tasting room itself had a great atmosphere, and we really appreciated how dog-friendly everything was. Traveling with our dog was super easy, and it was such a nice touch that they even had extra dog bowls available for guests to use. The whole experience felt really well thought out and made for such a unique, relaxing Fredericksburg getaway. “The Portal was a beautiful stay! So peaceful and such an amazing getaway from busy life. The livestock on the campsite ground was so cool to see, we even got to meet some goats. Stove, propane, utensils and many other things were supplied which made the trip a lot easier. All we had to bring was food, ourselves and good vibes! Props to the hosts for being amazing and having such a sick camp spot! Would totally book again!!”

Not only was our host super responsive he was extremely helpful as soon as we got there. They had extra heaters on hand which was great since there was a sudden temperature drop.
