“Beautiful home, great location. Just consider the photos of chairs is not accurate, if you’re local, bring your own. There is a photo of the garage, but you are not allowed inside. The chairs that were provided were either rusted, broken, or both. The photos of the chairs and umbrella need to be deleted from the list. Otherwise, fabulous!!”

“The moment we walked in, we noticed a very strong, musty/moldy smell with cleaning detergent masking it. As the cleaning smell dissipated, it was just a complete musty, moldy smell our entire stay, which was seven nights. There were many mold spots on the walls in the hallway and the bathroom. The fan above the doorway to the bedroom was extremely dusty and dirty. Next, more than annoyance than anything. The fitted sheets on the bed would be not stay on at all throughout the night. My wife and I decided just to take it off. I’m not even sure they were the right size. Lastly, any dishes or pots and pans that we did use needed to be scrubbed before we use them because there was just caked on a lot of them. I completely understand that being that close to the ocean, there will be a lot of moisture and assault there causes damage. I do have expect the mold to be cleaned off the walls.”

“My family of 4 stayed in the condo for a week and had a great time. Minor things could be improved at the condo. The beach is gorgeous and not crowded at all. During high tide, there is no beach and you have to navigate through the water to an area where the homes were built back further and have a beach still. We enjoyed boogie boarding when it was high tide. There is not much to do on the island. We did day trips to other areas while here. We went to the Carolina Beach boardwalk and saw fireworks and spent a day in Wilmington. Overall, I would definitely recommend this condo!”

“I feel its ridiculous that we paid 1200+ dollars for 5 nights and as soon as we checked in I noticed the place smelled musky and smelled of mildew. There was a dual humidifier and air unit in the bedroom that was crazy loud and we didnt sleep well the entire time we were there. The bathtub had hairs in the bottom of it, the floors were disgusting. I hadtogo buy cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom. My husband had to literally sweep when we got there due to food under the couch. The fridge had rust all over the front of it, I mean this might be okay for some but if people are paying this kind of money weekly, PLEASE update and have your rental clean, the description on air b&b was NOT accurate and this is very unfair!!! I didnt even see the beach in front of the place the water was to high and I felt honesty scared for my granddaughter with the nasty moldy smell..the owner had excuses for everything he sid he would return the cleaning fee that dont replace a 1200 uncomfortable trip”

“Great vacation spot. But anyone with any type of disability cannot do the stairs which there are plenty of. Mattresses need replacing as well as the fry pans and cookware because they are rusted. We happen to bring our own due to past experiences. rooms were clean and spotless with plenty of linens. Appreciated the shampoo, conditioners, and soap in the showers. Overall a beautiful spot just need some upgrades.”

“The place was nicely decorated, however, it smelled so musty. There are dehumidifiers everywhere but the smell was difficult. Bathroom was so hot, it was like a sauna. The view is beautiful but getting to the beach requires a long walk or a drive since the tide comes up so high. I was happy about the condition of the furniture and decor, that was nice. I wouldn’t stay here again because of location and smell, but some aspects were nice.”

“Beautiful spot on the north end. Great location for a more private and less touristy area.”

“The condo was much smaller than I had expected. The bed in the main bedroom was uncomfortable as well as the two twins in the hall. There were stains and water damage throughout the condo and the AC unit was excessively loud. I also waited over a day to hear back regarding a 2nd parking pass that ended up not being I the unit and had to be brought to us on our last night. The price we paid was excessive for the area and the unit needing maintenance, paid almost $900.00 for 3 nights and should probably only have paid $400.00. I was not impressed with the unit and don’t think I will stay again.”

“The biggest drawback to this place is the huge sandbags that were all stacked up on the beach which made the view worse & hard to access the beach. When it was low tide which was only a few hours is the only time you can get on the beach. There is no dishwasher so that was disappointing. Also, this unit is quite small. The air conditioner is so loud that you have to turn it off to hear the tv. Will definitely never stay here again so beware!”
