Manager Review

Book That Condo

Book That Condo's guest rating of 4.52 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The condo was beautiful. The bed was hard as a rock which some people may like. The shower curtain had yellow stains on it. Over all the condo was very clean. The only things I think would be good is telling people you have to pay for parking when i mentioned this to them they told me it was in the unit description but I’ve read it many times and I haven’t found it. The other thing is they send you a list of codes and a paragraph to read though, would be helpful to have the codes together so your not having to read through everything to try and find the gate code.

Decent spot. My fiancé stepped on a piece of glass on the first day. Found two shards in two different locations after the fact. Seemed as if a door was shattered or something was broken. Needless to say a sliced open foot affects a few days in the sand. Contacted the owner and airbnb with no response. I’ll write a new review if that is addressed. The AC units in the bedrooms affect privacy as well with openings in windows. Other than that, the beach was great and very spacious in between others.

We stayed in 612 on the 6th floor. Unfortunately for us, we were only “allowed” to use one of the TWO reserved parking spaces. We rented two condos at Shores of Panama for a family of 20 people (others rented their own condo… we just had two rented personally). I was VERY upset about the parking. My email said we got TWO parking passes. When I tried to point this out, the service desk didn’t accept it. They said we were told wrong and “owners of the properties are telling people wrong”. So I called the owner of the condo (or so I thought) and was told “the listing says you get 1 pass”. When I told them my email didn’t match - I was basically told “not our problem”. We had to park our vehicle a quarter of a mile down the road and pay $12/day for parking when I literally told them I would buy the other pass for the second reserved space for that condo. They would not let me even purchase that spot! There was truly no reason for that as there were SEVERAL open spots in the garage.

If you’re looking for a condo with a few unexpected “extras,” this may be the unit for you. Our stay included a roach infestation, leftover tape and streamers, personal items from previous guests in the drawers, dirty floors, sticky kitchen cabinets, and dishes with food still on them. The refrigerator didn’t work until the afternoon of our second day, causing us to lose perishable food. The pullout couch was broken and unusable, and the A/C constantly reset itself into the 80s. When we contacted the management company, their response essentially amounted to us being “SOL.” Their solution was to offer half of the cleaning fee back, which felt like a total slap in the face considering the unit clearly wasn’t properly cleaned to begin with. To be clear, Laketown Wharf itself is a great place to stay and we would absolutely return, just not to this specific unit. We expected basic cleanliness, working amenities, no pests, and better accountability from management.

Definitely felt like home. Great view of the beach. Condo was clean for the most part. I did see a splat of blood on the bathroom floor. Also, when I asked the host if I needed to bring towels and wash cloths, they said yes which was incorrect. Towels and wash cloths were supplied so I bought them for no reason. Other than that the host responded promptly.

The first condo we booked was at pinnacle port. It had air conditioning but none of the ductwork was hooked up. When I talked to maintenance they told me that they had problems with it with the last guest that rented it out. After two days of going back and forth with them trying yo explain that it wasn’t working properly they got us another room.

We love Shores of Panama, it’s the only place we stay in PCB. This one had the most comfortable bed that I’ve ever slept in! However I picked the condo because the description stated that the parking spot was on the first floor when in fact it was on the 8th floor. The description also said they had provided beach chairs and they did not. At least we never found them. Lastly one of the throw pillows in the living room had mold on the back of it and the fitted she on the sofa bed had urine stain on it.

The condo was so clean which is MOST important for me. The hassle of having to go to a different location to check it was a bit of a hassle because traffic was already horrible. Room wasn’t ready until 5:30 (although it was peak season) and they do advise this may happen but still hard to plan your day around a “possible” check in time. They do text you a lot wanting to know exactly when you will arrive to check in and when you will check out. It’s vacation … I’m not on a set schedule and don’t want to be contacted that much.

The location of the unit was peaceful. Lots of things to do in the community. I was upset I did not have access to the pantry.

This condo had a very pungent, mildew smell and was not clean. Tables and appliances had not been wiped down and there were burned out lights in the main room. The main TV was broken and our balcony was still under construction. Furniture is broken down and dirty. Directly outside of the condo, there were police barricades and multiple cop cars with lights flashing to direct spring break traffic. It was difficult to get in and out of the parking garage safely. This did not feel like a family friendly area and we were unable to stay at this condo because of how dirty it was upon checkin. The checkin procedures were also very unclear. There is an $81 resort fee that has to be paid separately. A fee was referenced in the listing but the amount was not specified. If you do not provide your ID to the property manager, you have to bring it to their off site office. They did not make this clear or provide us with an address to their office. Overall I would not recommend this condo.
