“This air bnb is the worst one I have ever stayed at…. Owner must be some type of slum lord. Got hit in the head by a curtain pole when I went to open the door the cabin it self was falling apart wood peckers and termites have destroyed the front porch and and and Derek still has the nerve to post it as a listing, this host cares not about your stay but your wallet instead 0/10…. BUYER BEWARE.”

“Over all everything is good but they need to change couch and bed .Bed is uncomfortable .place was peaceful but they need to put more trash bags , and need more soap to wash disease overall all fine thank you”

“The location is close to a lot of Hocking Hills sites. The driveway needs some upkeep. It is in need of gravel filled in for the entire thing. It would be very rough with a car with low clearance. The cabin itself was not clean. The floors were very dirty, there was noticeable stains on the comforter, cobwebs on the ceilings. The mattress is both very small and uncomfortable.”

“Important warning for anyone traveling in a lower-clearance vehicle: We unfortunately were never able to access the property because the road/driveway leading to it was extremely steep, rocky, and difficult to navigate. This was not made clear enough to us in the listing before booking. Our vehicle ended up sustaining damage while attempting to reach the property, and we ultimately had to turn around and book a hotel instead without ever entering the Airbnb. I strongly recommend that future guests, especially those driving sedans or vehicles with lower ground clearance, contact the host beforehand and confirm whether their vehicle can safely access the property. I wish the terrain and potential need for a higher-clearance vehicle had been clearly disclosed before we booked, as it would have prevented the damage, additional expenses, and inconvenience we experienced.”

“I do want to say that about a month before our stay we reached out and specifically asked about the condition of the road leading to the property. We were reassured that the road was fine for regular cars and was only difficult in winter. Well, our suv and sedan each had a very hard time traversing that road and I wouldn’t be surprised if it damaged my sedan. That road needs maintenance. Badly. I also found a coffee cup with grease in it in the cabinet leaving us with one coffee cup. The cabin is listed as having “all the basics”. No strainer, no cutting board, towels that are more like washcloths and do nothing to absorb water. The hot tub was well maintained and nice. But the AC being out in August was not really ok.”

“We planned a girls’ trip for five and were excited for our stay, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, our car became stuck several times on the driveway. Once inside, we found dirty dishes with food and standing water still in them, multiple stains on the mattresses and sheets, and the pull-out couch had clearly not been cleaned. The sheets had not been changed from the previous guests, and there were a few bugs, making it obvious it had been slept in. The TV/DVD player didn’t work until the evening of our second day, so we missed our planned movie night. The internet was also very unreliable, which was concerning in case of an emergency. We still enjoyed our time together, but for over $800, we expected much better. Having to clean upon arrival, especially finding unwashed bedding, was unacceptable and made the stay feel overpriced.”

“The listing stated that as long as there was no ice or snow a 2 wheel drive vehicle should have no issues. The drive up the gravel hill was more treacherous than we were lead to believe. It could benefit from a fresh pour of gravel or warn guests that a 4 wheel drive vehicle is preferred. A rustic cabin what we wanted and what we found. It would have been very helpful to have a printed manual of house rules, amenities, maps, etc. as there is no cell phone reception and the cabin itself does not have WiFi. The hot tub had a lot of hair and other mysterious floating objects in it. Overall, we still had a lovely time and made the most of our off grid over night but was hoping for something more quaint and romantic. We paid more than what we believed it was worth.”

“The cabin is really out in the woods and has a great hot tub. The cabin itself is difficult to get to, smaller even than it looks, and the bed is awful. They saw they have supplies but they are EXTREMELY limited. There was one bowl. It was clean, especially for being in the woods and peaceful but there are no directions inside. They did have a dvd player, but no remote and a smart tv, but no internet.”

“The entry instructions were incorrect, and both inside and outside of the Air BNB were in a very filthy state.”

“We loved everything about the cabin, but we would’ve liked it if it was cleaned better. We went to showers late Saturday night and there was a hair in the shower and then there was dust all over when I turned the light on in the kitchen to cook and the sink looked like it wasn’t cleaned at all .But we absolutely love the place and location and it was little fixes so we didn’t want to complain, but you should probably look into a better cleaning services. But over all 5 out of 5 and will come again!”
