Black Butte Ranch

“This house was lovely overall and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was definitely the highlight and was incredibly convenient. That said, there were a few things I wish I had known beforehand. The king bed is actually located in an open loft rather than a private bedroom, which wasn’t clear to me when booking. The bunk bed room also felt a bit makeshift, and the beds themselves didn’t feel especially sturdy. We also found the front driveway difficult to navigate because of the loose, uneven rocks, and I was a little concerned about potentially damaging a tire. Overall, we enjoyed the location, but because of these things, I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.”

“Beds were comfortable. This house needs updating. Uncomfortable furniture, some broken. Dirty carpet with stains No outdoor dining table Games etc are a jumbled mess Bare bones amenities Overpriced I’ve been an Airbnb host for 11 years and I’d never rent a property like this.”

“Black Butte Ranch itself is very nice, however for the cost of the rental we hoped it would’ve been cleaner and more functional. It is a pet friendly unit which was immediately apparent based on the amount of fur on all the furniture and pillows. The bathrooms weren’t cleaned very well, with stains or mess left on the counters - we cleaned it easily, but it should’ve been cleaned before we arrived. There was food waste from previous renters left in the kitchen garbage, and of course the ants found it. Finally, it was hot, and while we knew there wasn’t AC, we hoped the ceiling would’ve functioned but it either isn’t wired correctly or is missing its controller.”

“Great location, about a mile walk/ride from lakeside pool and two miles from upper glaze meadow. Majority of the home had air conditioning which was really fantastic with the exception of the primary suite. Typically BBR house with minimal upgrading, but functional. Plenty of room for 12 ppl.”

“2 bathrooms have no window coverings. Guests do not have garage access, bikes must be left outside. No outdoor garbage can.”

“For the price, this place was a great place to rest our heads. However, there were a few things that needed updating. The floors were super squeaky, and if you were sleeping downstairs, you could hear everything upstairs. Any movement on the bed they also were super squeaky. As you walked out onto the deck through the kitchen, you felt like the deck was going to give way. Another issue was that the house wasn’t listed as being close to other houses in the ad. From the pictures, you couldn’t tell. We had one pickup truck and it barely fit in the parking spots. There was no garage, so we couldn’t store our bikes overnight. The kitchen was very well stocked with lots of dishes, but could of used olive oil for the pans everything stuck to them. Overall, for the price, it was a great stay and we had a wonderful time.”

“This is a nice house. Not high end, but clean and ideal if you need four bedrooms. The location of the house is a little jammed in with other houses all around so know that going in. We did enjoy the games at the house, the fireplace and the hot tub. I’d stay here again if I had the exact needs of the house, but I have stayed at nicer places in black butte for the money. The biggest downside is that it is managed by BBR and not a person. The communication was very delayed and not helpful but that is on BBR not the house.”
