Beachwalk Vacation Rentals

Beachwalk Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“We love the community this home is a part of, but this was not our favorite home. The home felt a bit run-down with weeds, especially the front and back yard. The front door stuck. The beds were very squeaky. The sprayer in the small sink didn’t work so it was hard to clean dishes (there was as also no stopper for the sink). The dishwasher broke on our 3rd day and was not repaired. We would have appreciated some compensation for the challenge of using the little sink for all the meals for the 8 of us. They did drop off extra towels and soap. The resort is beautiful and we love going every year but we would not recommend this home.”airbnb

“The location is nice with comfortable walk to dune entrance at beach. The space was nice for our family group.”airbnb

“Overall, the house itself was very nice! Great space, lots of bedrooms, lots of natural light, visually appealing, good outdoor space, ample parking — even though we had 6 adults and 3 young children there, we never felt cramped for space and the house felt light and airy and gave us easy indoor and outdoor access for the kids. It was also very close to the beach and lakefront! Some of the furniture was cheaper than expected for the price, but other pieces were very solid and I know that furnishing is always a work in progress in a new rental home!”airbnb

“Honestly this is the first review I haven't given 5 stars for. The place was actually very nice and fit our group. Close to the beach and in a nice neighborhood. The only and biggest issue was that we couldn't get in. We arrived at 9pm and the lock didn't work. We called the number for the owner of the unit and they told us tough luck until the morning. We had to use a credit card to shimmy the lock. We needed to depart early in the morning and instructed the maintenance person to call me when they had the door fixed. No call was given and the door remained a problem for the rest of the stay. We would have to leave a door unlocked for the rest of the time so we could come and go without being locked out. Luckily it was in a nice area so we had no issues. The maintenance guy seemed annoyed that I didn't feel comfortable leaving the home unsecured. We didn't hear back after we were left in the dust the night of the arrival. Lame customer service, sweet place.”airbnb

“We enjoyed our time at Beach Walk. The amenities were great, and the house was the perfect fit for our two families together. I had to do some digging but I did eventually find it - they provide regular towels in this rental but not beach towels, and I didn’t realize until we got there! So I’d recommend bringing your own. My one slightly negative experience is that we lost a sound machine (one of our kiddos put it in the closet as we were packing) and the communication with the office to try to find it after was short and rude in my opinion. Unfortunately I still haven’t heard back after multiple calls.”airbnb

“The a/c needed service which they did schedule but we wasted half a day waiting because we had a dog & could not leave. Communication was weak but finally got the correct number that got a reply. Wifi info left blank with check-in instructions even though there is a spot for it. Gross kitchen sponge had food from previous stay, frying pans were unhealthy to cook in (bring your own) and a few other things not worth mentioning. The house is nice but the management company could have done better. Managing a home should be anticipating the little things. I would stay here again, it is in a great location & with some simple home repairs it could be great.”airbnb

“Vacation rental managed property, so zero consumables on site (laundry soap, kcups, ground coffee, etc). This is our sixth airbnb in the immediate area (we are a family of 8 and understand near beach housing) and this one was the motel 6 of airbnbs. Left behind giant box trash filled and partially blocked the driveway (not from previous guests, from a newly built fire pit). Not all doors inside the house actually close, and most are simply cut out of board/wall so they don't line up right with huge gaps. A/C on it's last leg, couldn't get the house below 76. Ants in the kitchen and living room (bait set out for them). Stairs to the basement from within the house are inside of a (tiny) bathroom and absolutely treacherous. Front room leaked (in a massive storm to be fair but still). The main problem with this house is mostly upkeep and maintenance more than management, company managed have the least warmth and we try to avoid them. Most surfaces in need of general repair.”airbnb

“Location was perfect, lots of space and quick walk to the beach . The kitchen is amazing. This place needs lots of care. Peeling paint, broken screens on windows, broken back patio table, broken firepit. Very little beach amenities like chairs, beach toys, etc.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, the house fell short of my expectations in terms of cleanliness. The Director of Housing mentioned that they conduct thorough walkthroughs of the home to ensure that everything is in order. However, we were unable to use the pots and pans because they were left dirty. The sink dish tray was also dirty and had rusted spots, the refrigerator shelves were also dirty, the drawer where you place the silverware cooking spoons was equally dirty. If the items that were visible to the naked eye were not cleaned, I can only imagine the state of the rest of the house, including the towels and linens. I’m glad you’re gonna be there for a day and a half. Check out time was way before 9 am instead of waiting until 10 am. I enjoyed the area, but I will not be renting this house again.”airbnb
