“This was a perfect spot for our group! The photos, description, and other reviews were all very accurate. The home is older, unique, and especially great for a group that can benefit from separate living spaces. We had two families plus a few young adults, and the layout worked beautifully for us. One thing that really stood out was how incredibly clean the entire home was. Even with the age and character of the house, the windows, skylights, corners, shelves, bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms were all extremely well maintained. We loved, loved, loved the outdoor seating and especially the location. The weather was perfect, so we walked into town often, tried a different coffee shop most mornings, and loved being so close to both town and the beach. One small thing to be aware of: the house is next to the post office and a bakery, so you can hear some activity during the early morning hours. It wasn’t excessive or an issue for us, but very light sleepers may want to come prepared.”

“Fantastic vacation for our family. Easily walkable to the pier and perfect with two toddlers to have the playground right there. Really appreciated the beach toys and ample towels as well. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Beautiful home, with very elegant main living area, and beautiful bathrooms. I rated this home 3 stars due to a few major flaws for a home at this price point $$$$. #1 Carpets in bedrooms are very worn, dated, and musty smelling that permeated the whole home upon arrival. Had to open all doors and windows to air out. Carpet must have been cleaned and not allowed to dry out appropriately before closing up home. #2 BBQ was clean but very cheap! Looked forward to bbq’ing on the patio overlooking the ocean, but burners were burnt out and not heating evenly. We had a birthday celebration for my granddaughter and had to ditch the bbq and cook the ribs and tri-tip in the oven. Major letdown for such a beautiful home. #3 Game Room: Pool table was in terrible shape…the worst shape I have ever seen. You could not play a competitive game due to deformed bumpers from what looks like an old water leak in the ceiling. #4 Surveillance camera hanging in skylight of game room, powered as well??”

“Great house and beach , nice patio /grass area/ hose to wash off sand too is handy! Wonderful kitchen well stocked and lots of space , beautiful living room with full views and comfy sofa/chairs. FYI… studio Cabin is separated from main house so not convenient if need that for a family with little ones for napping. Only negatives…Entry room pull out is too short for adults. Pull out sofa in cabin studio could have better mattress.”

“PROS: - Location- walkable to most key Cayucous offerings - Free concerts from outdoor deck on SATs from local bar Schooners - OK place if you don’t plan hanging out much & just plan to sleep there - BBQ in back parking area CONS: - couple & adult child stayed. Very tight space - 2 couples or anything more would be very cramped - Outdoor deck had good view but very narrow & deck furniture deteriorating - Kitchen was dated & no dishwasher - Decor was was dated, entry rug on steep entrance stairway was filthy - Bathroom throw carpets need a cleaning - Very limited supplies/amenities- just salt, pepper, paper towels & games - NO beach towels, beach chairs, outdoor dining table on deck. Come prepared! - Tight rear parking space. Had we spent $200 more for 3 nights, could have rented an updated, spacious unit w/ larger deck. Poor value for the $ -we stay @ vacation rentals several times/year- plus have vacation rental properties ourselves. Suggest looking @ all area options.”

“House was comfortable and very close to the beach. Beds were also very comfortable. Showers had plenty of water pressure. The house was very well stocked. Unfortunately, the floors were very dirty, we had to wear socks the entire time, one couch in the lower living room was badly broken and the ceiling fan above the table did not work. I messaged Beachside about these issues and never received a response. If it weren’t for these issues I would’ve given a 5 star review.”

“We love cayucos and this neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and the beach access is stunning. The house was equipped with extra blankets, fans, heaters, and beach chairs that we used! The property had lots of spaces for the kids to play- front deck, back yard, side yard and upper deck out back to see the ocean. We arrived Friday and stayed 3 nights and the rental office closes for the weekend so I had no one able to help me when I couldn’t find the garage key for laundry (which is why we booked a house not a hotel for kitchen and laundry). The laundry access info was burried in the welcome guide (extra clicks to dig for it). All the house info was again posted on the fridge except where that dry I go was. I finally found the key at checkout. We had to wash my kids sandy beach clothes with the hose but they didn’t dry because of the mist. That was super frustrating.”
