“Loved the stay! Waking up next to the water was lovely! Would recommend bringing your own cooking utensils as owner was unresponsive to our questions about what the property had. Other than the responsiveness, property was great and we had a lovely time!”

“This place was pretty good. The location was excellent as you have access directly on the beach. Sunsets are amazing. The bed was comfortable. The place was clean. There are nice black out curtains covering windows. Parking spaces are tight! We could barely get in and out of our car when parked. Something else to be aware of is it can get very warm in the room. They provided a tiny fan, but we went to the store and bought one that was much bigger. There is one standard size window that is on the side of the house, which is excellent, but it has no screen. So if you wanted to keep bugs out, that could be an issue. When we had the small window open, a strong smoky smell from beach fires came into the room. Not sure how that could be avoided. One other thing, there are very few surfaces to put your bags or things you need. A lot had to just go on the floor. And it would be really helpful if there were more shelving in the bathroom to put your toiletries.”

“Beautiful ocean view and easy access to beach. We enjoyed our time as a group of 7. We enjoyed hiking and a horse trail ride on the beach which was only 25 minutes away. The only reasons I did not score a 5 is that we found the key/code entry kind of tricky to figure out and there were no tissues/Kleenex anywhere in the house, which seemed unusual. We would stay again, mostly for the incredible view. We saw wales from the deck on the last day which was amazing!”

“Unfortunately, our stay at Captain's Quarters was disappointing. The listing photos depict a pristine property with high-end amenities, but the reality did not match the expectations that were set. I was genuinely embarrassed when my guests arrived, as the home was not represented accurately. Prior to booking, I reached out several times with questions about the property and either received no response or only vague answers, which should have been a warning sign. While the views were beautiful and helped make the stay more enjoyable, they could not make up for the overall condition of the property and lack of communication. Given the premium price, we felt we significantly overpaid for the experience we received. We chose this property based on its advertised quality and amenities, and unfortunately, it fell well short of expectations.”

“Being able to stay on beach with private beach access is truly the top to of the house. The views truly are breathtaking. I could sit there and stare out the window all day. I do wish they would invest back into the house a little. They had all the basic amenities however I wish they had a little more. For example I could not find a plug for the bathtub in one of the bathrooms. Which made it hard to bath my kids. I had to buy sponges, and coffee filters. I understand things get stolen over time however I just wish there was just a little more! However, this was the very best deal I could find with private ocean access and walkable to casino!! Huge perc! Overall loved this house ❤️”

“Listed as entire home. That is not actually the case. There’s the upper rental and the lower rental which is like a little apartment. Over paid for an apartment. Paid for what an actual whole home rental would have been. We wanted the privacy of the whole home and was very disappointed to find out it wasn’t. Beds were not comfortable. Careful in the shower. If any other water is ran it’ll make the shower way hotter and they have the water heater set way to hot so it’ll burn you if you aren’t careful. Careful with your kids.”
