“Incredivble views great neighborhood but some of the most disrespectufl and passive aggressive management I've ever dealt with. Cleaning crew showed up told us directly she woke up late but was saying they were waiting on us. No issues there but then after a call to the property to verify check out was told that the house was left as a mess after we did all the dishes without a dishwasher present so they were left next to the sink-. Called in to figure out what was going on on threat of an additional fee and was met with one of the most disrespectful people I've ever dealt with on this service.”

“Pros: 1. Location to the beach. Cons: 1. Listed as a whole house when in reality it’s a bottom level apartment. Not worth what you pay. 2. Every dish was broken, chipped or dirty. 3. Front right stove burner didn’t work. 4. Only gave one dirty sponge and drying rack for dishes. 5. Pillows on bed are stained. 6. Extremely loud washer and dryer. I have the same one at home and this is absurdly loud. 7. Fireplace in unit didn’t work. 8. Crazy rules posted all around, I get it I live in a resort town as well, and you have to deal with disrespectful people. But they go a bit overboard. All in all it’s in a beautiful location, there’s no question about that. But what you pay for there is no excuses for a dirty/ neglected property. Stains on the pillows, broken window sills. Dirty sponges and dishes.”

“The proprietor was rude upon our arrival. I went to the address that was texted to me. I called the number provided to correct the situation and was told "Only 2 people per year go to the wrong building" When I tried to explain I went to the address provided, I was cut off and told "we are not going to talk about that" . "Lets get you to the right building" Upon checkout, a message was left on my phone stating that there was a missing pillow. I called and spoke with the proprietor and told him, I always bring my own pillows as does my sister with whom I was traveling. We had checked our belongings and found that we did not have a pillow that did not belong us. The proprietor sent me another message stating since the pillow was missing that meant the pillow case was missing also. He stated he couldn't but a single pillow case and would need to replace the set of sheets to get a pillow case. I would not stay there again.”

“We had a nice time and really enjoyed the view. The place was really clean, comfortable and well-stocked.”

“Loved the stay! Waking up next to the water was lovely! Would recommend bringing your own cooking utensils as owner was unresponsive to our questions about what the property had. Other than the responsiveness, property was great and we had a lovely time!”

“This place was pretty good. The location was excellent as you have access directly on the beach. Sunsets are amazing. The bed was comfortable. The place was clean. There are nice black out curtains covering windows. Parking spaces are tight! We could barely get in and out of our car when parked. Something else to be aware of is it can get very warm in the room. They provided a tiny fan, but we went to the store and bought one that was much bigger. There is one standard size window that is on the side of the house, which is excellent, but it has no screen. So if you wanted to keep bugs out, that could be an issue. When we had the small window open, a strong smoky smell from beach fires came into the room. Not sure how that could be avoided. One other thing, there are very few surfaces to put your bags or things you need. A lot had to just go on the floor. And it would be really helpful if there were more shelving in the bathroom to put your toiletries.”

“Beautiful ocean view and easy access to beach. We enjoyed our time as a group of 7. We enjoyed hiking and a horse trail ride on the beach which was only 25 minutes away. The only reasons I did not score a 5 is that we found the key/code entry kind of tricky to figure out and there were no tissues/Kleenex anywhere in the house, which seemed unusual. We would stay again, mostly for the incredible view. We saw wales from the deck on the last day which was amazing!”

“$3,500 for three nights, anywhere, is not reasonable.”

“Unfortunately, our stay at Captain's Quarters was disappointing. The listing photos depict a pristine property with high-end amenities, but the reality did not match the expectations that were set. I was genuinely embarrassed when my guests arrived, as the home was not represented accurately. Prior to booking, I reached out several times with questions about the property and either received no response or only vague answers, which should have been a warning sign. While the views were beautiful and helped make the stay more enjoyable, they could not make up for the overall condition of the property and lack of communication. Given the premium price, we felt we significantly overpaid for the experience we received. We chose this property based on its advertised quality and amenities, and unfortunately, it fell well short of expectations.”

“Listed as entire home. That is not actually the case. There’s the upper rental and the lower rental which is like a little apartment. Over paid for an apartment. Paid for what an actual whole home rental would have been. We wanted the privacy of the whole home and was very disappointed to find out it wasn’t. Beds were not comfortable. Careful in the shower. If any other water is ran it’ll make the shower way hotter and they have the water heater set way to hot so it’ll burn you if you aren’t careful. Careful with your kids.”
