Beach Place

“The place was pretty much as pictured, some items were a bit dated and the wifi was weak; overall it was a good place to stay. It was walking distance to the beach, on-staff personnel was very friendly. There's a grocery store right behind the apartment complex which came in handy for picking up snacks and water. The area was nice and I felt safe and comfortable. Overall enjoyed the stay.”

“**The Good**The hostess, Mimi, is very responsive on text. After-hours check-in process was easy. Pool area is nice. **The Bad/Less-Than-Good** Property shown in Airbnb promo ≠ property rented with bigger unit pictured (see pics). Mattress! 🤮 Appeared to be blood or feces stains (see pic). Mimi got new mattress quickly, but YUCK. Unit was dirty upon check-in. I had to purchase a Swiffer (see pics—I used five pads). Unit is of inexpensive construction (looks like 1960s pre-fab & is looking worn and very tired. Furniture is close to shabby and not comfy—some rips and holes; upholstery didn’t look particularly clean (I put towels down before sitting). Apartment is not well appointed. No TV in the bedroom; small-ish screen in the living room. Not many small appliances. No ceiling fans. Lighting is poor, with limited, dim fixtures. Parking lot flooded 8” twice when it rained (see pic).”

“The place was clean but"no" extras. There were no extra blankets, pillows. There was no instructions on how to operate TV or a list or book of things to do in Sunny Isle. It was very basic. It was walkable to the beach and there were local shops to eat at. If you don't have a car, no other shopping. Uber recommend.”

“The AirBnb ought to have the simple things, like a table on the balcony, salt, pepper, tv in BR that works, soap in shower. But the place is okay and close to the beach.”

“Great location. We felt very safe. Lors of hot water even for four adults. There was no coffee or condiments, so run to the store first! The pool was amazing! Crystal clear. Only negative was that the BBQs are locked up at 5pm when the office closes. We would stay here again when in the area.”

“The apartment was as described, except it seems like the kitchen photo is slightly different and from another unit. The unit was clean and spacious, the extra half bathroom was a big plus. Kitchen supplies are very basic and no salt/pepper/oil. Walk or a few minutes' drive to Millam's supermarket and lots of great restaurants. There are extra towels and beach towels. No extra blankets, though. When I messaged the host to ask whether it was at all possible to get an extra blanket, she responded "The bed is made, and that is what is provided" The TV remote didn't work and she did try to resolve it by contacting the cable company, but a technician visit was needed, which I declined. If you plan to watch TV, I suggest checking the remote as soon as you arrive.”

“Place smelled like smoke and mold. Floor was sticky and dirty and overall the duration of our stay was very unpleasant due to these two things. The host should be more clear about the fact that the washing machine and dryer are not located in the apartment and are at extra cost.”
