“The stay here was great. Communication from the owner's was proactive and gave us all details we needed to access the house. The snack basket and bottle of vino was a real plus after a full day of travel and days of work while staying here. I would be happy to stay here again next time I'm in the area.”

“The location is perfect. Talia in the office helped immediately with the issue we had with the lock. Kudos for her willingness to make things easy for us. However, we arrived early and the house wasn’t quite ready which was no problem. But we were met with absolutely the rudest old man cleaning the place. He is definitely in the wrong line of work because it’s clear he doesn’t like people.”

“Convenient location for walking to restaurants, coffee shop and the pier. Living area was nice size and bedrooms were comfortable.”

“We loved this place...everything was within walking distance and it was super quiet and peaceful. Full disclosure the decorations were outdated, but highlight the TVs were flatscreen and not what is shown in the pictures! Also, the bed on the top floor seemed like a king size (not queen) and very comfortable. I slept like a baby! Everything was clean, linens smelled fresh, and clear instructions...everything easy enough. There were 4 of us so it was a snug enough, I would think at full capacity of 6 it would be a little bit of a tight squeeze”

“The property was clean, comfortable, and the keyless entry system worked exactly as described, making check-in/access throughout the stay very easy. Unfortunately, my experience with the management company after checkout significantly impacted my overall impression. After my stay, I received a voicemail stating I would be charged for a missing garage remote. This was concerning because neither I, nor anyone in my group ever used any keys/garage remotes during the stay. The property was entirely accessible through keypad entry. Even the garage door had a keypad, so there was never any need for us to use physical keys/remotes. When I reviewed the checkout instructions afterward, they referenced keys being left in a lockbox. However, there was no lockbox onsite, and the property appeared to have been converted to a fully keyless setup without the instructions being updated. I explained this clearly to the management company, but they continued insisting I was responsible.”

“A wedding weekend is something to behold, not just for the ceremony of Union, but for the re-union of families and friends. Our two Beach Bum homes provided off ceremony venues to make memories. Thanks to Beach Bums and AirBnB for making our celebrations complete!”

“The house itself was fairly nice and has good potential, but our stay was affected by several issues. There were basic maintenance problems like a backed-up sink, burnt-out lightbulbs, and some worn furniture, along with missing essentials such as glassware and potholders. These are fixable issues, and I did bring them to the host’s attention, so the home could be a great place with some improvements. The bigger issue was the property management company, Beach Bum Property Management. Communication was very poor—they were unresponsive and did not use Airbnb messaging as expected. While our concerns weren’t emergencies, it was concerning how difficult it was to reach anyone and raised doubts about getting help if something serious had happened. Overall, the house could be nice with some fixes, but due to the lack of communication and support, I would not rent this property—or any managed by this company—again.”

“While the house was decent and the owners seemed nice, the management company’s procedures were a major drawback. The check-in process was highly inconvenient, requiring a 15-minute drive to an off-site office just to collect keys—essentially a 30-minute round trip. Furthermore, we had a privacy issue when the cleaning staff entered the home before our 11:00 AM checkout. This appeared to be a misunderstanding because we had dropped the keys off early, but it was still an uncomfortable surprise while we were packing. Transitioning to a keypad or lockbox and providing clearer instructions would significantly improve the guest experience.”
