“This was our second time staying here, I like it bc it’s easy to get to and it’s near the exit, so it’s not as overwhelming if you’re new with the Ocean Lakes experience.”

“We had a great time staying here with our two dogs. The gate on the porch was great, so the dogs could enjoy the porch, and the golf cart was perfect for getting to the beach. The house was clean and comfortable, and ocean lakes has so much to do! Also Murrells Inlet is a short drive for great food as well.”

“We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Lakes. We had all the amenities that we needed to stay at the campground and enjoy the beach. We will return. We were very happy with our stay there. And plan to return next year.”

“Overall, we had an okay stay, but there were a few issues that made the experience less enjoyable. First, the exterior of the house was painted a different color than what's shown in the listing photos, which made it difficult to find. It would have been helpful if this had been mentioned in the check-in instructions. The listing photos also don't accurately convey how small the house actually is. While it may work for some guests, it's much more compact than expected. On our second night, we noticed ants and other small bugs on the ceiling, and unfortunately some even made their way onto the bed. I understand that insects can be more common during hot weather, but it was still unpleasant. Front door was difficult to lock. No instructions. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but addressing these issues and updating the listing to better reflect the property would improve the experience for future guests. *Again not a horrible experience, just minor things the owner can impro”

“I truly loved the fact that there were all the things i needed available without have to bring them with me .... such as plates, bowls, silverware, cups, Tupperware and etc.!!!!!”

“Wish I would have read reviews before booking, the pictures are not up to date pictures. The furniture is not what is pictured, the home has two small window units which don’t cool the entire home, the floors where so dirty your feet stayed black (not exaggerating). No toiletries or trash bags provided, comforters covered in stains and dirty, linens were not on beds they got dropped off randomly in the night in a blue bag. The ac units are coated in so much dust it looks like they have never been cleaned. Surfaces covered jn dog hair. I’m not one to leave bad reviews but nothing was offered in return to make things right. Also floor in small bedroom is about to fall through. For what you pay I do not rec.”

“Our day was not that enjoyable we expected more from this unit. The AC vents had mold and falling out of the ceiling. The floors were nasty and not mopped our feet stay black so we had to wear our shoes. The bedding was not that clean. The AC barely worked in the washing machine did not work and we were not aware of any of this before check-in so we were not pleased with this unit.”
