Manager Review

Bay Ridge Hotel

Bay Ridge Hotel's guest rating of 4.64 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“My flight was moved up 24 hours and when I tried to shorten my stay by just one day, it was not approved. It was well before the Airbnb hosts' published cancellation policy date. Policies shouldn't be published if the host doesn't follow them. It was very unfortunate. I tried to communicate with the host multiple times. It was apparent that I kept getting their AI Agent despite my continued request to please send my messages to the human host. If it was in fact the true host I was messaging, I am extremely disappointed that they did not stay true to the policies they have on their listing. I've never given a negative Airbnb but I feel misled and taken advantage of.”

“Just significantly more crappy than the photos, which seems to be a problem across adverts from this host. Broken window blinds, tv remote with corroded/leaked batteries, lots of stains everywhere, bad smell, trash in the sink. The main area just isn’t nice and is really smelly. Building is also very noisy Bed was good though, and check-in/instructions easy. Before you go here, would look for better value-money.”

“I’d say the place was okay at best. The convenience of being close to a subway to get around Brooklyn and NYC was the best part. The building was noisy morning and night. You could hear everything through the thin walls. The shower leaked water all over the floor because the glass door wasn’t sealed properly. There were also no towels, but luckily we brought our own with assumptions that could happen. Not sure I’d stay here again for the price.”

“The floor was a bit dusty, and it was hard to get the shower water to the right temperature. The game room with ping pong and pool was a big plus, and our family with teenagers really appreciated it. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxed, but has some nice cafés and places to eat.”

“Overall, our room was safe and ok. There were a few instances where our room smelled like weed; none of us smoke, so that was a bit off-putting. When we arrived, there were no towels in our room, which was disappointing considering we had to pay extra to check in early (not sure it's worth it). The hotel is in a great and quiet neighborhood, but you are an hour via subway from the city so a fair warning. At the end of the day, I think you get what you paid for.”

“Overall if you're in NYC to strictly sleep in what looks to be an incredibly run down and small room, not a bad place; they will knock every 30 seconds past 10am and start getting aggressive, god forbid you're running a bit late! I was 9 minutes past 10 am when I left and the manager knocked on the door around 11x times.”

“Paint the walls! The carpet and literally EVERYTHING was dusty and stained. Wasn’t comfortable at all and that’s why I didn’t stay”
