Barefoot Amelia Beach Rentals

“The cottage was very comfortable and decorated nicely. The bathroom, although a little tight, was very well done,(loved the soft bath towels.) The shower is very cute with a stone floor and excellent shower pressure. I had a little trouble cooling the back bedroom off at night. Luckily they had box fans available since they were no ceiling fans, so those helped somewhat. I did bring two dogs with me but felt like there were limited places right outside the cottage to walk them, (the grass shown right outside the front door is now all shell) and it is quite dark around property at night and early am for walking. The outside deck is very comfortable, especially early in the morning or later in the evening, it has a view of the sandunes and sky. During midday, it's too hot for both feet and paws on the deck. The beach access is just on the other side of cottage. Kitchen is very well stocked, if you're planning on cooking. Host is very attentive to questions or needs.”

“We had a lovely stay at the Flamingo loft, it was exactly as described. It was spacious and had direct, private beach access in close walking proximity. We could also enjoy an ocean front view from the balcony which we really enjoyed. Midway through our stay, the transformer on the electrical pole exploded and this knocked out the electrical power for our stay. The hosts were extremely proactive and reached out to us and offered to relocate us to another property nearby to ensure we were comfortable and had electricity. We gladly accepted their offer and enjoyed the remainder of our stay at the second property. Both properties were spotless, and had all the kitchen supplies needed to enjoy our home away from home. We enjoyed our visit to Amelia Island and our hosts were wonderful.”
