“Beautiful location, comfortable beds. Couldn’t ask for more!”

“The bathroom had issues. There are no lamps in the living room and the overhead lights didn’t work. The remote to the TV didn’t work in the living room. The smell in the complex from the seaweed is horrible. It seemed to be trapped in the unit. Every night that we came back we had to wait for someone to come back to the gate to let us in. The unit only had one trash bag. If only one of these things were the case then it wouldn’t be worth a questionable review but all of them together made it frustrating.”

“The unit itself was lovely and well supplied with all that we needed. The amenities were clean, pools, gym etc were convenient and and accessible. The only downside of this property was getting through the gate - twice we arrived and there was no one there to let us into our unit.”

“The master tv remote was missing, the internet didn’t work for 3 of our 4 days. There was excessive hair from previous guests in the restrooms. The master toilet would not stop running. The kids in the pool were screaming the whole time. There was no one responding to problem calls except for a message service which got us nothing. When I asked for compensation for the lack of internet since I was unable to work remotely I was told it was not part of their procedures. Overall terrible stay with Barefeet and will never return. Also the outside area has a terrible smell of dead sea life from the mangroves in the back yard. Beware!!!”

“Great space and well decorated, comfortable couch, bed and linens. Kitchen well equipped. Next to pool which can be noisy when on balcony (cannot hear in unit). Walkable to restaurants and bakery. Took effort to coordinate checkin with rental company, get access after 5pm. Gate guard was extremely slow with delays to enter. Would return because of comfort, cost and walkability to restaurants (check-out ballyhoos)”

“This was the worst Airbnb experience we’ve had to-date. The property, managed by Barefeet Vacations, was dirty upon arrival—bugs everywhere (we killed ~50), even a lizard inside, plus stained carpets and dingy bedding with long dark hairs all over the sheets. We reported everything within 24 hours of arrival - with photos. The host asked what unit we were in, then went completely silent—no acknowledgment, no resolution, nothing. We had to clean parts of the unit ourselves just to make it livable. When we told them we were uncomfortable and requested a refund for our final unused night, along with checkout instructions, we again got no response. After calling and repeated follow-ups, we eventually received a dismissive message denying any refund without addressing our concerns. We checked out early and left the place in better condition than we found it. Airbnb support was helpful—the host was not. Do not book if you value an elevated vacation experience, cleanliness or communication.”
