Axis
4.74
Axis's guest rating of 4.74 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“This was an awesome stay and the kids loved it. Parking was horrible. No organization. People at other homes from other blocks was coming parking in front of the home we was living in which led to it not being enough parking spaces for us.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing Airbnb experiences I've had. We paid a significant amount for this stay and expected to be able to relax and enjoy our vacation, but there were multiple issues throughout our visit. The cleanliness of the property was below expectations upon arrival, and it did not feel as though the home had been thoroughly prepared for guests. We also experienced issues with the upstairs air conditioning, which made it difficult to stay comfortable during our stay. The pool required maintenance during our stay, which disrupted our ability to fully enjoy the property. In addition, when we attempted to use the grill, it nearly caught fire due to excessive grease buildup, which was a serious safety concern and suggested it had not been properly cleaned or maintained. I hope the host addresses these issues for future guests.”airbnb

“If you love to have roaches as your cuddle buddies this is a perfect place! If you love dirty stains on the toilet and a kitchen that smells like dirty water this is also perfect! Don’t forget the bnb host WILL THREATEN TO LEAVE A BAD REVIEW IF YOU EXPOSE THEM. NEVER again, they will seem extremely responsive but let you have ANY ISSUE they go incognito. Don’t worry though I have screenshots and pictures for proof as well . SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE . (05/29/26 so you guys know how recent this experience is )”airbnb

“I would not stay here again. The host was unhelpful and rude when I raised concerns during my stay. The unit had a strong unpleasant odor that made it uncomfortable, and the walls are extremely thin — I could clearly hear neighboring guests late at night, including intimate activity, which made it difficult to sleep and have privacy. Before booking, I recommend reading through the host’s past reviews carefully, because I later noticed multiple guests mentioning similar issues regarding odor, noise, and overall comfort. I was also disappointed that there was no willingness to work toward any partial refund. They tend to leave retaliation reviews on several peoples accounts which is definitely a display of their character.”airbnb

“something sticky was spilled on a table in 1 of the bedrooms and it was not cleaned up before we arrived so we did keep getting ants in that one room. we also did not have the remote to control the lights and fan outside. the pool does have flashing lights but since we had someone with epilepsy we had to be outside in the dark at night. just something to consider. aside from those things everything was great. the location is awesome. and we took advantage of the water parks on the property. beds are comfy and the house looked great.”airbnb

“Place was a beautiful home. The reason why it was not rated higher was due to the issues we had once we arrived. First and foremost the HVAC on the 2nd floor was not working at all. 85-87 degrees at check in. The upstairs was not habitable. It was finally resolved after hours of text messages and emails at 0230. The rooms didn’t get cool till 0630. The maintenance man they sent initially did not speak English well and could have caused much more damage due to not knowing what he was doing. The host did refund the 1st night including the cost of the pool heat that was never turned on. Place was nice and fit our needs, but the management were awful to deal with all the issues. I would hope the company uses this critique as not an attack but as a learning opportunity.”airbnb

“The place was just as described, but the interior was dirty—something that surprised us, since we had booked two days in advance. When we arrived, we found many dead flies in the bedroom and parts of the living room... a very unpleasant welcome, and we had to clean it up ourselves.”airbnb

“While the unit is nice & located very close to the community center, the management company was terrible. We came into a unit with a serious leak in the closet where the A/C unit is. For over 8 hours they kept telling me they were sending someone to take care of it and clean up & they did not. We had to sleep in the unit with the smell of dirty sprinkler water and mildew for 2 nights. All while they kept insisting they were taking care of it. When I asked to be relocated, they claimed to not have anywhere to put us. Even though they manage “over 270” homes in the area. Then I asked for a refund, they denied it. Furthermore, their chats are all with an ai bot, not a human. It was a terrible experience.”airbnb

“We had a very upsetting stay and left early due to safety concerns. We booked four nights but only stayed two. The first night, a neighboring guest yelled and cursed loudly until 2–3am. I immediately notified the host but received no response. The second night was worse—we were woken around 2am by what sounded like a violent altercation involving screaming and fighting over drugs. It was frightening enough that we recorded it. I reported everything and offered the audio as proof, but the host dismissed it, claiming there was “no proof of violence” and suggesting it was just “two guys playing video games.” They even asked if we confronted them ourselves, which felt unsafe. I was in Houston for an emergency pregnancy procedure and had surgery that day. I explained the stress and asked only for a partial refund to relocate. The host refused. Airbnb ultimately issued a refund after reviewing the evidence. The lack of concern, thin walls, and poor communication were unacceptable.”airbnb
