Manager Review

Avari Vacation Rentals

Avari Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.61 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Nice facility. No large issues. Quiet and clean. "Trip Hazard" at door to balcony should have a yellow or red strip on both sides to draw your attention to the hazard. No hangers in the bedroom closet. Like I said. Nothing that would keep us from coming back. a pleasant stay.

This place is exactly like the pictures! Its beautiful has a spectacular view, rooms and bathrooms were clean and kitchen was equipped with all cooking needs. (No condiments) Over all very wonderful place to stay. Check in how ever was frustrating. I understand they said check in was at 4pm, informed them we got in early asked for an early check in would not accommodate, we bought groceries that needed to be refrigerated it was over all very frustrating to not even be able to get in even an hour early after a 12 hour day of travel. Then upon check out asked for a late check out 12pm, would not accommodate, then at 932am there were maids knocking on the door to see if we left to clean. Also no cleaning products to wipe counter tops after cooking. But other then the check in and out times was over all a wonderful place to stay.

Unit A412 has a decent Gulf view and is conveniently located near the pools. The layout is great for families or groups, with two king bedrooms, bunk beds, and a spacious patio. Overall, the condo setup made for an enjoyable stay. That said, the unit is starting to show wear and feels more like a rental than a personally maintained vacation home. Small maintenance issues mentioned in older reviews, like the non-working clock, still haven’t been fixed. Supplies were very limited, including cheap sandpaper-like toilet paper, and not enough paper towels or toilet paper for a week-long stay.Only the main deep pool is heated. Other frustrations included no beach towels or beach toys, stove knobs indicators written in black Sharpie, a dishwasher bottom rack that didn’t roll properly, and no plastic dishes or cups. Bedding was also minimal, with thin sheets, no extra blankets, and limited pillows (1 per side only). Overall, a decent stay, but less comfortable than expected for the price.

Location was excellent, and overall I would stay here again. We did have one major issue and a few minor inconveniences. When we arrived, there was a very strong fish odor throughout the unit that lasted almost 3 days and even made one guest vomit. We contacted management immediately and were told a ticket was submitted, but nothing was done until the next day after another call. We also noticed grease and seafood seasoning residue on the sink faucet and cabinets. As for the smaller inconveniences, there was no blow dryer, and although there was an older coffee maker, no coffee filters were provided. I would have happily purchased some if I had known the correct size beforehand. There was also no salt and pepper, no full-length mirror, and the two living room chairs were very worn and in need of replacement. Additionally, both shower heads sprayed extremely hard, which seems like an inexpensive issue that could easily be fixed.

Never had a management company as Airbnb host. Prefer individual host to company. Rental chairs on beach have a wacky system. Can't rent the chairs with cushions that are available to both sets of condos on each side, can only rent from company with inferior chairs.

Reported the sliding doors not secure, which was a family safety concern; never sent maintenance to address the problem. Floors were filthy, swept but not clean. Rugs are all in need of a cleaning or replaced. Shower in main bedroom needed cleaned. For the price and convenience; definitely worth staying elsewhere with more amenities.

I would not recommend staying at this condo. The room was fine, but we chose to stay there for the beach access. There was construction going on blocking off the beach for our whole stay. The first morning we woke up I reached out to the property manager. They were apologetic, but said there was nothing they could do. We were forced to make the best of the situation by driving to nearby beaches. The price we payed for the rental was not worth it without the beach. I realize this situation is specific due to the construction, but I wouldn’t trust the condo owner to help out should anything go wrong during your stay.

The location is beautiful but do not bother renting through Avari. You will receive multiple different sets of instructions that are ALL unclear and none of them will contain the basic codes you need to enter the facility. If you try to reach out to them there are about 5 different numbers listed and none of them answer when it’s check in time. I ended up getting the codes from the woman working at the HOA office (Sandy Key not Avari) and was able to enjoy my stay after a day and a half of nothing but stress.

I’m going to start with check in. We arrived in 2 cars at the same time and were not given the gate code to get into the parking lot. This was @4:15 and traffic was bad! Just turning into where the parking lot from the main road was HARD. All 3 of us checked the check in instructions and there was nothing about the gate code. We waited @15 min while trying to find a phone number. Someone finally pulled in so we were able to follow them into the parking area. From there, we couldn’t get in the gated bldg due to NO CODE. We had to wait for someone to open it. Yes we were trying to call but that was NO help. We finally got to the room and we only were given 1 key fob for 3 people to use. The next morning 2 of us were up at 5:30am to get our race packet for the half. The gate would not open from the inside. We both tried numerous times. We had to stick our hand and key fob through the gate to swipe it on the outside from INSIDE. There’s more but I’m maxed on words….
