“This place was a great location, easy walking distance to downtown with a good layout having two full bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and clean sheets and towels and a comfortable bed. It was a little dated with a very musty smell and visible stains on all of the carpeting, which surprised me as a viable rental for the price. The rental company for this unit were very responsive and understanding about our concerns regarding the smell. I suggested they contact the owner to rip out the carpet and put some sort of hard surface in. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.”

“Great little spot in the heart of Hood River. This location is blocks from wine, beer, restaurants. Like other reviewers we found the cleaning product aromas to be overwhelming and the constant noise of the upstairs neighbor frustrating. The unit is well appointed with coffee, tea, lots of blankets and pillows so it’s easy to make yourself comfortable. Would book again.”

“Good river was an interesting excellent location to explore everything in the gorge. This place had most everything that a family of four would need.”

“The 3 master suites, something that is hard to find, worked great for our group of 3 couples. The home was very comfortable and created a great location for us explore the area, play games and watch football. Like many homes in Sunriver, this one is starting to show its age. A refresh of the cooking utensils in the kitchen would help. An upgrade of the outdoor table would also be nice, but the outdoor chairs were great. The house also provides parking for three cars which is needed since there is no street parking. The outdoor BBQ worked great and enjoyed some great steaks purchased at Costco. The free-standing gas stove in the family room warmed the room nicely and created a great ambience. We didn't use the hot tub or the SHARC passes but both are nice amenities. The house is 1.5 miles to the village which is a short drive or nice bike ride.”

“Great location, but very expensive. Carpets were not very clean and we found lots of ants in the bathroom, kitchen and even inside the microwave.”

“The location is ideal, nice and quiet and only a 5 min bike ride to the village or the SHARC. The house is a great size, with lots of hang out space and 4 nice size bedrooms. The deck was incredible and the hot tub was nice and private. That said, for nearly $900 per night, the house is in need of some maintenance, a deep cleaning, and a reset in order to live up to the description and the price. The furniture felt dusty not brand new and the finishes although nice didn't feel like it was recently remodeled. There were dirty dishes scattered throughout the drawers, mold above the shower and grime around the toilets. None of that was absolutely awful but for the price I'd expect better.”

“Hi, I wanted to let you know why we checked out a night early. I understand that was our decision, and I’m not asking to be compensated simply because we left early. However, we genuinely felt we couldn’t comfortably stay another night. There were several issues that made our stay very disappointing. The toilet barely flushed, the master bedroom had no functioning air conditioning, and there was a group upstairs that sounded like a fraternity house, with constant jumping and pounding through the floor late into the night. The biggest issue was the master bed. The bed frame appeared to be constructed from 2x4s and plywood, and the plastic covering was protruding through the sheets, actually poking and scratching us. It was so uncomfortable that my wife and I ended up sleeping on the twin beds instead. Beyond that, much of the furniture was damaged or in poor condition, with missing doors and broken pieces. The overall condition of the property did not match the listing or the expect”

“Good price for the small spot. The bed sheets were quite uncomfortable and the fridge door was broken but apart from that, it was a nice spot.”

“The home was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and we enjoyed our stay overall. However, during our visit a pump alarm began going off in the house. We contacted the host right away via text but never received a response. We ended up unplugging it ourselves to stop the alarm.”

“We had some issues with a dishwasher and the fireplace that did not get resolved, but otherwise it was a wonderful house to stay at”
