Manager Review

Amyfinehouse

Amyfinehouse's guest rating of 4.68 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This was the worst Airbnb experiences I’ve had. The host attempted to charge an extra $200 deposit outside of Airbnb (against policy) and continued pressuring me through a third party even after agreeing to waive it. The location felt extremely unsafe—homeless individuals and prostitution in the area. The building had no security, with people coming and going freely, and the main entrance was propped open. Inside, the building and unit smelled strongly of weed and other substances. Shortly after arrival, I witnessed a physical altercation in the hallway and saw a gun drawn, which made the situation feel genuinely dangerous—especially as two women traveling alone. We left immediately and did not spend a single night, yet the host refused to refund any of our money. Even after involving Airbnb, she continued contacting me repeatedly though her third party service which felt harassing and completely unprofessional. 0/10 — I would strongly advise against staying here.

The unit is beautiful and exactly as described! Good Internet speed for working and streaming. And the view is phenomenal! The valet parking is awesome too! free bfas Lack of hand soap and cheap 1 ply sandpaper feeling toilet paper are worth mentioning to be improved, but not significant enough to lower a star. The Roku for TV didn't work. Host asst contacted me (not thru Airbnb app!) speaking broken English at 10pm asking about it and to come by, but seemed sketch. I declined. Now, a big area of concern is the condo building itself. Elevator wait on the weekend can be up 20 minutes! Only 2 elevators and there were long lines for it during busy weekend windows. That line loitering also led to trash and messes in the areas and elevators. Need SECURITY! Outside building walkway has you walk past people, some homeless, loitering in the corroding you must pass, often smoking various things. It feels sketchy, esp for a woman, esp at night. Has perception of being unsafe. Need SECURITY!

You get what ya pay for. Weird building that is all airbnb rentals, strange smells in hallway, pool was freezing cold and full of ants . Don’t recommend.

Grace was very polite thus why I’m giving 4 stars still, and communication for check in was clear, but after I checked in that stopped and I couldn’t get actual help with any issues that arose during my stay. The description promised a parking space and after I was checked in I inquired for the garage remote and parking pass and they never provided one my whole stay, despite following up about it about 7 times during the few weeks I was there, so I had to search for street parking every day and late at night. I also asked for assistance turning the fan off, as the instructions they provided didn’t work, and no one ever came to fix it so the fan was on and blowing on me every night for my whole stay of a few weeks. It was otherwise fine but it seemed like once I got in they didn’t care anymore about my experience which was disappointing.

This place was not in a safe location. We were downtown and there is a large homeless population near the building. In addition, many intoxicated people in and out at all hours. Witnessed drug use right outside the building. Left after one night, not a safe place for kids.

It is beautiful/clean inside the apartment. The host (Grace) responds promptly, kudos to her. However outside the apartment, like in the ailse, corridor and elevator there is some unruly people. An example is a guy inside the elevator showing his organ to 2 ladies who were guests next to our rented place. They were terrified and have to leave and move to another place to rent. This is just one of them. I hope the management of the biilding will address this type issues so that guests will have a safe and enjoyable stay. And rooms like that of Grace (truly beautiful inside) will be more appreciated.

A bit of a problem in the first hours after I arrived with parking my car in the garage. Once that was cleared up, my stay was perfect.

The apartment was clean and in a great location. However, there were a few issues. Parking instructions were unclear, and I had difficulties with the valet service. Getting into the building and apartment was challenging due to unclear entry codes, and I had to wait outside for about half an hour before I could get in. Reaching the host for assistance took a long time and wasn’t very helpful. Additionally, the shower wasn’t working properly, and there was no water flow in the showerhead. Despite these challenges, the apartment had potential and could be a good stay with improved communication and maintenance.

Here’s a tightened version that stays strong and detailed while fitting closer to the character limit: --- We stayed here due to flooding in our home and wanted a comfortable family space. Unfortunately, this was the most stressful Airbnb experience we’ve had. Street parking was unclear and we received a ticket the first day. Entering the building at night felt unsafe — individuals were lingering outside and someone attempted to follow us in. Strong marijuana and chemical odors filled the hallways. Inside the first unit, we found hair and stains on every bed. The host moved us twice more — six beds total were inspected and all had cleanliness issues. Only two beds in the third unit were usable. We didn’t feel comfortable using the kitchen or dishes. Amenities are only open 8am–4pm weekdays, making them unusable for most guests. The “breakfast” downstairs is not a restaurant and felt unsafe. Loud partying continued until 5am all weekend. Not family-friendly. Would not recommend.
