“OK experience. The physical space was good. But upon entering the place 2 hours AFTER check in time, there was still a cleaning lady in the place ? And we were told someone is coming in to fix the coffee machine, which we were graceful about. BUT up until check out time came and we asked for a 20 minutes grace period to check out at 11:20am instead of 11:00am.. they said this will incur in a $50 dollar fee? Hotels don’t even do this! And there were a bunch of people smoking weed outside all night in and out! If the owner was graceful about the 20 minutes maybe I would’ve had a change of heart but it was the cherry on top.”

“The place was exactly as described, was clean and the neighborhood was great close to airport, shopping and food spots. The only thing I found weird was the fact I had to provide personal details (names,emails, passports) of everyone who stayed in the Airbnb on a separate form on a third party website that they send via the Airbnb chat in order to even get the check-in instructions. They also requested I send my email, telephone contact and license plate number of the vehicle I was driving in the chat which I felt defeats the purpose of Airbnb…this was a last minute vacation for us so I wasn’t paying attention to the messages because this is not typical of an Airbnb in my experience. So I had I not checked when I arrived I would not have been allowed into the property. As they stated the form was mandatory in the message they sent and not completing will result in delayed check-in. So if you book be aware that you have to complete this once they send it to you.”

“The host took a little while to respond regarding check in after we arrived and we didn’t get the WiFi password until the last day. Other than that the apartment was very clean and as pictured!”

“I must say I didn’t have the best stay here. Firstly, the description saying valet parking but also says there is off site parking, which there is NOT so we had no choice but to valet. Then I paid the valet guy for a day and when I returned from being out he tried to tell me I didn’t pay him which almost resulted in a very bad issue. There is no room service far as changing linens or towels and one of the face rags had a stain on it which creeped me out. Location very far away from everything I had planned so definitely was an inconvenience.”

“Disappointing experience overall. There was no proper coffee setup (just a couple of instant packets) and no body wash provided, which felt like a basic oversight. The layout was also inconvenient, requiring us to move a heavy chair just to watch TV comfortably. The outlets in the second bedroom didn’t work, which had already been mentioned in a prior review (2 weeks before our stay) and still hasn’t been addressed. Lastly, the beds were extremely firm and not comfortable. For the price paid, I expected a much higher level of comfort and attention to detail. I wouldn’t stay here again.”

“Overall il give it a 8 because of the no tv in the rooms and the host didn’t let us know not to lock the bottom so we was locked out the first night until we was able to reach and they took a while to unlocked. But everything else was okay the place was close to everything and the airport.”

“If I could have given this experience a negative I would have. I actually never saw the location due to location cancellation while I was on a flight to Miami. No calls just an email AFTER my daughter arrived at the location prior to me! I contacted the host and they told me it was “an AIRBNB” error and I need to contact them. The Housekeeper Supervisor was trying to help me secure another room if I sent over a picture of my Credit Card and all of the information 🙄. Not to insinuate anything foul but in this day and time, not happening! My daughter was stuck on sight for more than an hour. Based on this experience along id way my rating was what it was.”

“I hesitate to leave a negative review because we love Key Biscayne and Key Colony in particular- but this was the most expensive and least nice unit we’ve stayed in over the last 5 years. The unit needs a lot of work. The balcony door handle is broken, the bathrooms are dated (drain is loose in master bath, missing floor molding), generally all the walls and floors are scratched/ dinged/peeling and in serious need of work. The kitchen also didn’t have dish towels for drying things… and no wine opener. Our biggest issue was the washer machine (featured prominently in the listing) doesn’t work. Washer and dryer in unit is what makes key colony such a great family vacation spot- this was a big bummer with two little kids. Second issue was meager basic supplies (toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, trash bags)… we asked for a refresh and were told that would be “hotel service,” which they don’t provide. There are better units and rental agencies at key colony- we will skip this one next time.”

“Poorly maintained with very little dishes and no baking trays or oven mitts making the oven almost unusable. Not ideal for a family, especially when the weather isn’t great and you need to spend time in the condo. Microwave was shoved into a broken second oven slot. Walls were scuffed up and needs new paint. Kids complained that the living room rug they sat on felt sticky and gross. Have stayed at this building before and this condo was not well maintained compared to others. Host also didn’t respond at all when messaged. Paying for beach location, but condo not worth the price.”

“When we arrived, the house was a complete mess. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher and food still sitting in the refrigerator from previous guests. Several of the rooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned at all — sheets and washcloths were thrown on the floor as if the previous guests had just left and no one had come in to prepare the home for new arrivals. Because of how dirty the property was, we were not able to check in on time. We reached out to the owners hoping to resolve the situation, but the communication was very poor and they were not willing to compromise or offer any real solutions. This left us in a difficult position, and we ultimately had to book an entirely new place to stay, which was a huge inconvenience. On top of that, the property looks nothing like the photos in the listing and is much smaller than it appears online. The outdoor area was also poorly maintained, with the grass not being cut. The front door was extremely difficult to open as well,”
