AMI Locals's guest rating of 4.70 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Beautiful home, but some cheap (and dangerous) furnishings. The first night, a dining table chair collapsed to the floor under my 77 year old wife (fit, A-class Tennis player, not a fatty), due to poor welds on the legs. We did not use any of the dining chairs again all week. The dish washer has odd rollouts. My wife was hit in the hand, and visited the hospital for X-rays and the fitting of a hand support. Bring a suit of armor!”airbnb

“We recently stayed here with our family for a week, and while the home had some great qualities, there were several maintenance and amenity issues that impacted our stay. The biggest issue was the pool/spa heater, which wasn’t working when we arrived. It took several days to get repaired, which was disappointing since the pool was one of the main reasons we booked this property. We feel this is something that should be checked before each guest checks in. There were also a few maintenance concerns: * The kitchen sink was clogged. * The dishwasher wasn’t secured to the cabinets, so it tipped forward whenever it was loaded. * The house was stocked with only a minimal number of bathroom towels for a home of this size. The home also lacked some of the thoughtful touches we’ve come to expect from vacation rentals.”airbnb

“This booking was a nightmare, we left after the 3rd night and we were booked for a week. The ac was not working properly, the filter was dirty when they pulled it out, 4 technicians had to come out, the pool motor does not working properly and the pool was dirty with sap from the trees and chemicals unbalanced. The bath towels did not dry us and we had to use beach towels. We opened the sofa bed and there was dirt and chips. The unit was not kept. There was construction noise on Monday morning from the house being built next door. We are asking the company for a full refund and they have not complied yet!”airbnb

“Very clean place. Well equipped with good quality stuff. It was hard to get in, the main entrance works with key fob, which we had no idea how to collect. We were waiting outside for 2 hours wondering how to get it. I recommend this place!”airbnb

“House needs quite a bit of maintenance which i did report. Some of the maintenance is safety issues. The pool needs maintenance. They did come out a few times but still no light in Spa and pool still cloudy with leaves on the bottom. There were no beach accessories however things were visible in pics that are posted. My 1st booking was cancelled 3 days prior to our vacay as well so after all of this i think it was ok.”airbnb

“Everything was great, except for the lack of response to some health and safety issues detailed. Moldy placemats, Sandy rugs & rats / rat poison in the lower level. Not worth the 5 star price charged for these level of issues”airbnb

“Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The biggest issue was safety — the second floor was accessible from the ground and the exterior door wouldn’t lock, which is unacceptable for a family rental. Several interior doors also would not stay closed nor lock, including the master suite. The internet constantly went in and out, which disrupted my workday and made it impossible for us to even stream a movie at night. We reached out for help and received no response. There were also inaccuracies in the listing, including missing amenities (foosball table) and incorrect bed descriptions/sizes for the kids’ room. Overall, the combination of security concerns, unreliable internet, inaccurate listing details, and poor responsiveness made this a frustrating experience. This is a beautiful home, with beautiful views and a wonderful location. I wouldn’t stay here again, nor at any other property managed by this company though.”airbnb

“Great location. Older home but the location made up for it. The hosts were not very guest friendly. We asked to park at the location an hour before check in and they were not able to accommodate due to “potential maintenance”. We circled around the area for an hour not able to find parking.”airbnb

“Unfortunately the heated pool or hot tube were not able to be used the entirety of the trip. The heating elements were not working and we communicated that to AMI the first day of our trip. We had to follow up every day of our trip (seven days) multiple times a day to try to get the pool fixed. They were responsive in the manner of sending technicians out, but didn't actually correct the issue until the day we left. It was incredibly frustrating. We have small children and they love the water, had we known we wouldn't have access to this amenity, we would have stayed elsewhere.”airbnb
