Manager Review

AMI Locals

AMI Locals's guest rating of 4.70 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Very clean place. Well equipped with good quality stuff. It was hard to get in, the main entrance works with key fob, which we had no idea how to collect. We were waiting outside for 2 hours wondering how to get it. I recommend this place!

House needs quite a bit of maintenance which i did report. Some of the maintenance is safety issues. The pool needs maintenance. They did come out a few times but still no light in Spa and pool still cloudy with leaves on the bottom. There were no beach accessories however things were visible in pics that are posted. My 1st booking was cancelled 3 days prior to our vacay as well so after all of this i think it was ok.

Great house. Even better location. For as much money as it costs, they should provide more trash bags and dishwasher pods. We didn't even receive one per day. Also the WiFi didn't work the whole time so with 8 kids that was difficult. And they never responded to us about the WiFi issue throughout the stay.

Everything was great, except for the lack of response to some health and safety issues detailed. Moldy placemats, Sandy rugs & rats / rat poison in the lower level. Not worth the 5 star price charged for these level of issues

Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The biggest issue was safety — the second floor was accessible from the ground and the exterior door wouldn’t lock, which is unacceptable for a family rental. Several interior doors also would not stay closed nor lock, including the master suite. The internet constantly went in and out, which disrupted my workday and made it impossible for us to even stream a movie at night. We reached out for help and received no response. There were also inaccuracies in the listing, including missing amenities (foosball table) and incorrect bed descriptions/sizes for the kids’ room. Overall, the combination of security concerns, unreliable internet, inaccurate listing details, and poor responsiveness made this a frustrating experience. This is a beautiful home, with beautiful views and a wonderful location. I wouldn’t stay here again, nor at any other property managed by this company though.

The house was big and nice, but wasn’t too clean. The pool control was broken and couldn’t lower the temp, it was set at 95 degrees. We had to text and get someone to come to the house. The front doors lock is broken and couldn’t open the door. The instructions of the front desk were not clear and took 20 minutes to get in when we arrived. Pool is really nice but the finish is very rough and everyone ended up with cuts on their feet soles. Lastly, the cleaning crew came before our check out time, not only the check out is early, at 10 am, but they came at 9:30 am and made us rush out the door. Priced to high for what it offered.

Our family weekend for nine—including young grandchildren—was completely derailed by this property's systematic failures. For a "high-end" rental, the level of neglect was staggering. The frustration began at check-in when we were provided the wrong entry code. Once inside, we found the kitchen and living room floors visibly filthy. However, the most egregious issue was the pool and jacuzzi. The system never ran for more than ten minutes at a time. Despite two separate technician visits—which were intrusive and ruined our privacy—the water became cloudy and unusable. Most alarming, the second technician warned of a legitimate risk of electric shock due to a major underlying electrical fault. We obviously couldn't let our kids near the water. Inside, the master bath had no water in the mornings (preventing even a toilet flush) and several bedroom outlets were dead. Paying a premium for a home that lacks basic hygiene, functional utilities, and safety is unacceptable

The house is very nice, well located, and super clean, and it had everything we needed for our stay. However, the overall experience was impacted by the host’s service. Communication felt very impersonal, as we were dealing with a guest service team rather than an actual host. Responses were not very kind, and there was no flexibility with any requests. It’s a shame because the property is great, but the lack of genuine hospitality and poor communication really took away from what could have been a much better stay.

Great location. Older home but the location made up for it. The hosts were not very guest friendly. We asked to park at the location an hour before check in and they were not able to accommodate due to “potential maintenance”. We circled around the area for an hour not able to find parking.

Unfortunately the heated pool or hot tube were not able to be used the entirety of the trip. The heating elements were not working and we communicated that to AMI the first day of our trip. We had to follow up every day of our trip (seven days) multiple times a day to try to get the pool fixed. They were responsive in the manner of sending technicians out, but didn't actually correct the issue until the day we left. It was incredibly frustrating. We have small children and they love the water, had we known we wouldn't have access to this amenity, we would have stayed elsewhere.
