“We walked in to a huge mess. Trash left behind, beds clearly still dirty after being slept in and laundry on the ground. While I appreciate the prompt response from the host to get this corrected and to a new location, we were told our trip would be comped for the trouble. Despite asking for that to be honored, we were refunded all but about $400 of what we paid. Certainly, the refund was appreciated for our trouble. But I found it misleading and dishonest that we were told the trip would be comped (no limitations were provided) and then we were told the entire trip would not be comped.”

“A hot tub was a requirement for our stay. There was no hot tub. It had been removed. I feel that we should have been notified and given the option of staying at a reduced rate or making an alternate choice. Non disclosure of a missing major amenity is unacceptable and dishonest. Our host was unresponsive and AirB&B customer support is somewhat comical. The issue has not been resolved to our satisfaction.”
