Alonaha Realty's guest rating of 4.67 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“If you’re planning to stay in Waikiki, this is definitely a great location. It’s close to plenty of food spots, the beach, and other activities. While it’s not directly in the middle of all the action, everything is still very walkable, including the mall and other shopping areas. Parking was included in the price, which was definitely a huge plus. Honestly, a car isn’t really needed at this location, especially if you plan on booking excursions through groups that provide transportation. The space worked well for me and my family. One thing that surprised me was that the two beds were twin-size beds, and I’m not sure if they could be pushed together. However, the room itself was comfortable overall. Another nice surprise was that the pool area opened on the second day of my stay. I was immediately notified of the unexpected opening, which ended up being an extra added treat.”airbnb

“We stayed here this past week for a college baseball trip, and it was great. The unit had everything you could possibly need for the beach — chairs, body boards, umbrella, towels, and more — which made our days by the water effortless. The beds were unbelievably comfy, the kind you sink into after a long day in the sun. We also loved having two different views: the sparkling city lights at night and the beautiful beach during the day. The foldout couch worked great for our third sleeper and was surprisingly comfortable. The management company was extremely responsive, which made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. It’s a short walking distance to the beach and tons of great food options nearby as well as waking distance to the local zoo. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Waikiki — it truly made our trip memorable.”airbnb

“Place was a great bang for our buck! PROS: centrally located and within walking distance to everything! WiFi and TV provided worked. Parking spot was big enough for a minivan and luckily we didn’t have to move our car due to the construction when we were there. Host was very responsive and friendly. Had beach items available for use CONS: Due to it being so central, it can get loud at night. Construction is happening right outside your window. Clearly the pros outweigh the cons. Would definitely stay here again!”airbnb

“4 people staying at the Airbnb Pros: The Banyan on the 31st floor had partial amazing beach views to Waikiki Beach. Balcony was a plus Cons: Expensive stay Very tight for 4 people Futons are very uncomfortable Not enough towels - cheap old ones Not enough beach towels / small beach towels at that No oven - which I already knew (would have been nice if they did No dishwasher Bathroom curtains inside and out were dirty, moldy with stains (cheap) Mold on the bathroom ceiling Air conditioner is old, loud and dirty They give you 3 toilet papers, and 1 paper towel, the cheap kind. If you run out you will have to buy more on your own. They have these ridiculous policies.”airbnb

“We’ve stayed at the Ilikai before and loved the location, which is why we booked this Airbnb. Unfortunately, this stay fell short. The AC broke the first night and leaked onto our belongings, soaking our bag and a chair underneath it. While the listing mentions fast response times, communication felt inconsistent slow when issues came up, but quick otherwise. We were offered a $25/night refund or relocation, but it felt like the decision was made for us. Considering the stay was over $1,500, this didn’t feel sufficient. Without AC, the unit was very hot, and maintenance had to come multiple times. One fan was provided, which wasn’t enough. Now that our stay is over, we’re still waiting for communication and confirmation of the refund. Overall, we love the location, but the experience and handling of this issue with the host were disappointing.”airbnb

“Overall, the place is fair for what we paid. Good location for the cost. However, the room was humid and everything felt wet the entire time we were there (even with the AC on). The beach chairs were basically folding camping chairs that hardly fit an average sized adult and the umbrella was close to breaking in the wind. We appreciated the included parking spot, but we were missing the stall number so they almost wouldn’t let us in even though the instructions said the front desk would tell us the number. The building is definitely an old building with issues and ongoing maintenance, despite the listing saying “new” or “renovated”. You get what you paid for and for the cost, this stay did the job. However, we probably wouldn’t return during our next trip to Honolulu.”airbnb

“The area is great for exploring the heart of Waikiki. The place was as expected albeit dated. I initially gave a 5/5 but due to the lack of communication when asked about my parking reimbursement, I dropped it down to a 3/5. Over a week since my stay and they never followed up regarding my parking reimbursement, which was almost $50 due to parking off site because of construction. I had to reach out to AirBnB support for the reimbursement - AirBnB support was amazing and helped me right away.”airbnb
