“Our 10th stay at sterling shores, we love it will go back. Issue was with communication and host responsiveness about issues with the specific condo PH18. We’ve stayed at 10 different condos in Destin and certain things were always provided in the condo itself. Things not or hardly provided in PH18: no trash bags, 2 dishwasher pods for a 7 day rental for 8 , 8 cloths and towels for 8. I don’t know what the requirement is but all other previous penthouses came with these basic items. I would overlook this of not for the following. Upon arrival, required amount of wristbands to be on property were not given. Immediately request and said would be handled by Kelley, had to reach back out 48 hours later and finally 2 delivered (needed 3). Dryer didn’t work, told wristband delivery person on Monday, reached out 4 more times, repaired on Thursday at 3:00 after getting airbnb involved. Roof construction with power tools beginning daily between 7-8 am Monday-Friday not mentioned in description.”

“Great condo, nice decor and location. Beautiful view. Pool & beach were great. Great family vacation Only problem was the construction on the roof started at 5:30am or 6am everyday of our vacation, except Sunday. The property manager and security were no help to us or to Kelly. We had no notice of the construction.”

“Great place! We did have a check-in issue and we couldn’t get in contact with Kelley to get inside. After reaching out to Airbnb support they got ahold of her and we were sent check in instructions. Home was very clean other than the rugs could use a good cleaning. Nice area just a little difficult to get to beach access. We drove to PCB for the beach.”

“We had an amazing stay this week. Such a beautiful home and easy walk to the beach. The house was a perfect size for my group of 14. I will say that for a house that accommodates 14 people one roll of toilet paper per bathroom with no extra needs to be mentioned in the description as we ran out extremely fast. As well as not having extra paper towels, salt & pepper, or dish soap. Communication with the host weeks prior was almost nonexistent, but thankfully day of we received our code into the house and were able to get in on time. Overall we had a great time and checkout was extremely easy to follow.”

“The condo was beautiful. It was updated well & decorated nicely! The view of the ocean is incredible and so close to walk to. It was the best room in the complex for sure. The bedrooms were the perfect size and everything was designed beautifully. The inlet from the river made for the BEST hangout if you have kids. You can easily get to it by walking down the short road with the big houses to the right. You are about 30 min walking distance (5 min car ride) to shops, breakfast, coffee, & bike rentals! The main issue we had was that there were only 2 parking passes and we had 3 vehicles. At the time of the booking that info was not displayed anywhere otherwise we would’ve made other driving arrangements. Bringing babies along makes it more difficult to condense drivers. We ended up getting a warning on 1 vehicle & had to move it to a paid lot about 30 mins away. The check in info sent via Airbnb such as wifi login was incorrect, but the condo complex emails the correct info separately.”

“Place was cute, couches were comfortable no seasonings so bring your own no blender, wifi didn’t work well. Golf cart was dead so we weren’t able to use at all. Called and wrote host but didn’t get a reply or call back. Tight parking spot.”

“Great location and comfortable beds. Right next to a couple restaurants and to the beach. Airbnb is bare minimum you’re not given much. Had to buy extra toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags.”

“great area , nice house , although showers and baseboards could have been cleaner house was in good shape. soap dispensers in half bath rusty , description said cookware - we found one rusty pan and no extra blankets of any kind , also trash an was full when we arrived. Overall we had a good stay and would stay again.”

“The home was gorgeous! Exactly like the photos and in a great/safe location. However communication with the host was 0/10. It made this trip really difficult with not being able to get in touch with the host when we needed something. The longest wait time for a response was 25 hours, and this was after we checked in. Communication on the app before check in was also difficult. First a few days waiting for a response then over a week and it just continued to get worse. We did request hand soap for all the bathrooms and she did bring it by which was helpful. There was only 2 dish washer tabs and 2 trash bags even though we selected the max capacity at 16+ people, so make sure to pack extras if cooking a lot like we did. The host offered to let us check in early and accommodated a late check out which we were so appreciative of and also offered over flow parking if needed. The home is beautiful and in a great location very close to the beach. We enjoyed the stay and loved the house!”

“The pool is extremely small. I was locked out due to the lock not working at midnight and the host didn’t respond. Camped outside the place and was finally able to get inside after an hour.”
