“Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and appreciated that the location was easy to find and the beds were comfortable. However, there were a few concerns that future guests, especially families with young children, should know about. We found a cockroach and killed it and then we found a spider crawling on my baby nephew’s arm, and the patio umbrella was heavily infested with ants, so we weren’t able to use it. Because of this, I personally wouldn’t recommend it for families with babies or toddlers. We also had trouble keeping the bedrooms cool, no matter how we adjusted the AC, the rooms stayed warm and didn’t seem to get much airflow. Additionally, be aware that noise expectations seem to be strict, as we received a noise complaint after 10 PM due to our toddler and baby crying. Despite these issues, we did appreciate the comfortable beds and convenient location.”

“The owners kept in touch with me prior to arrival and provided easy to use instructions. The place was big and walkable to just about anything downtown. Place was clean and was just as described. If you are going to Branson this is definitely worth a look.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Playful Retreat. Before we arrived, David sent detailed directions and instructions that were very helpful. He was also very responsive on any issue that came up during our stay. The cabin was comfortable and contained everything we needed for our stay. Our 2 year old grandson called it the “fun house”. It was a great location for the activities we had planned. We stayed before the memorial weekend so the property was not busy and we had the pool and basketball courts almost to ourselves. It was a relaxing vacation and we would definitely stay again.”

“We have stayed at A LOT of airbnbs and I have never needed to communicate with a host as much as I did this time. I have also never left a 3 star review, but this warranted it. Unfortunately the AC on the main floor went out on Friday. We didn’t check out until Monday so we had a full weekend of 85 degree weather outside AND inside. The real disappointment was we received NO response at all from all three numbers we had available to reach out too. Sent multiple messages and no answer at all. I know the number was correct because we had a text thread on it already from a propane tank situation. Pros The house was beautiful and the we enjoyed the game room. Toiletries are included in the showers. Great view of the lake Close to SDC”

“The property was clean and comfortable. The internet worked well and was easy to connect. The location was convenient, and there was plenty of space for parking. *a couple concerns: 1-the rug in the main living area is a concern due to a trip hazard. Where the rug isn't flush, it would be easy to trip, fall forward, and possibly hit your head on a sharp corner of the coffee table. 2-the shower in the master bedroom; when you pull the knob to trigger the shower head would not stay activated with the water pressure from the hot water handle. You would have to also turn on the cold water to have enough pressure for the valve to stay activated for the shower head. We had 2 couples and there wasn't enough hot water after 2 showers of 4 were done. 3-The expectation of doing part of the cleaning! The idea that we are charged a cleaning fee but are expected to take out the trash and start the laundry prior to checking out doesn't seem fair. $400 for 2 nights, which includes a cleaning fee.”
