Adirondack Sunrise

“Our stay was great. HOWEVER there is NO COOK TOP in the cabin as the pictures show. Or in other cabins! It has been redone but if you are expecting to cook food you can’t. There was a lack of toilet paper and no paper towels so we ended up having to go buy our own. I was told there was a trolley stop and then we got there and they told us it doesn’t run there this summer. ONE of the reasons I booked this cabin. It was also very, very damp in the cabin. Overall it was easy check in and out and we enjoyed our time.”

“Howie ADK Sunrise Lake George NY was easy to find and easy to check in/out. It was decently clean and does have a small fridge/ tv. Both beds were very uncomfortable and the only AC is in the living room, near the bed/couch ( there is a ceiling fan in the bedroom but when it was turned on, dust flew off the fan.) The first room you walk into, located in room 20, has a couch and a bed next to it. It’s more of a bedroom- not a common area. Lastly, in the bathroom, there appeared to be recent damage where the toilet paper holder possibly was- toilet paper was just sitting on floor or back of toilet. Overall it was an ok place for a last minute stay for two nights. Was not noisy at all and was a quick process to check in and out. The location was easy to find and in a convenient location.”

“The place in general is beautiful, very nice cabins and looks well maintained, there are several fire pits which we used to make s’mores at night, very fun for the kids. The inside of the apt was pretty clean, just the sink in the bathroom looked dirty, there were dead bugs and hair in it, they definitely forgot to clean it. The carpet in the bedroom looked brand new however the one in the other area had several stains and was older. Overall it was a very nice place to stay, 3 min drive to town, would recommend!”

“The location was great, check in was easy. When I got to the room the main / only light source for the room was broken. I reached out to Howie (it was very late so I didn’t expect a response right away) however he never responded at all, I would’ve liked to speak with him before leaving my review. The bedding was visibly old and a bit worn, when I pulled back the comforter the sheets were covered in dog hair. The bathroom was surface clean for the most part but the shower was gross. The floor was dirty, shower curtain was moldy, and there was hair from previous guests still in the shower. The mirror in the bedroom is not hung up- just sat on top of the dresser and shakes / makes noise every time you take a step. There were a lot of small inexpensive details that could be fixed for a way better experience. The walls are also thin so I could hear everything going on in the next room. Was a place to stay for the night but I don’t think it was worth what I paid, probably won’t be back.”

“I was hopeful when booking because this property advertised itself as dog-friendly, and I was upfront in advance about bringing my four dogs. However, during our stay, the owner repeatedly complained that my dogs were allegedly barking nonstop while we were out because another guest complained. When I returned, my dogs were completely quiet and only barked when they saw me arrive. The owner also complained that they barked when he walked by, but they’re dogs—many dogs will alert bark when someone approaches. There were several other issues that made our stay unpleasant. Guests were chain-smoking right outside our door, causing smoke to drift into our room. The bathroom door would not close properly. The room’s outlets were set up so that you couldn’t charge a phone without keeping the lights on. There were grown men hanging around outside our room with their hands in the backs of their pants with their butt crack out which was inappropriate, especially with my daughter around.”

“Great time but the coffee machine didn’t work and nothing was posted in the room about check out times”

“The place was in beautiful surroundings and it was easy to check in and out. However it was very small with limited plug ins. Had a microwave and coffee pot but no where to plug them in unless they sat on the bed while being used. The neighbors next to us had two large dogs that were left home all day and barked constantly and barked most of the night and early morning so didn’t get any sleep. You could hear the neighbors walking around heavy all night and banging their feet. The bathroom and shower were tiny and the beds were on wheels and moved all around the floor while tossing and turning all night. We tried going in the pool twice and once it was closed early and second time the water was too cold.”

“It's a perfect location for things to do in Lake George. The property is beautiful with a lot of fire pits around the area. The cabin in itself was comfortable but extremely tiny. The shower was very small too. the AC was quite loud on the lowest setting. For the price it wasn't worth the money to stay in a quiet location, but still not find it quiet because of the AC. All in all it's a great location and property but not worth the price.”

“We stayed at suite 22 and it wasn't a bad experience, but I don't think we will be staying there again. The check-in hours were until 5pm, we got to the office at 4pm and all the lights were off and the door was locked. We called and texted multiple times and multiple numbers, but no answer. They called us back about 30 minutes later and we got our keys. The room wasn't bad, the bed was big and it had a nice size fridge. The screen door locks, and the room door has two locks as well. It was pretty clean, although the base of the toilet wasn't secured to the floor, so when you sit down the toilet moves. The heat worked well too.”
