“A wonderful homey stay. It was the perfect location to be close enough to everything but just far enough from the first hostel and bustle. The house was spacious and very lovely.”

“The house was clean, the kitchen and bathrooms were modern and in good working order. The bedrooms were OK, the beds took up much of the room and the bedrooms felt a bit cramped. The lighting in the dining room seemed a bit dim. The location is about 25 minutes outside Lake Placid. It is well located for exploring the High Peaks region and is very quiet.”

“Beautiful home close to Main Street. The lack of AC was not ideal for the summer and the list of check out chores was a too much for what we were paying per night.”

“It's a lovely home but I don't think I'd be staying here again. Pros: comfy beds, lots of space, access to the lake (though you can't swim in it bc it's too shallow), 15min walking to main street. Cons: awkward parking for 2 cars, no basic amenities (shampoo/conditioner, body wash, dishwasher detergent), more expensive than a nice hotel, have to pickup/drop off keys at an offsite location, for checkout they suggest you do half the work of the cleaning crew. Overall, would not stay here again. The value was not there for us.”

“We stayed for Ironman and mainly booked do to being walkable which was great - definitely hilly but that’s just the area! Loved it was beside a park for my 2 year old. But the images make it appear a lot larger than it was. For how much we spent, the kitchen pans were dirty , there was dirty floors, cob webs in the ceiling, spider in the bathroom tub. Not very spacious. It did the job but will look good elsewhere for the money spent next time! I messaged 2 times to request early check in and no one ever replied the entire stay.”

“The apartment was a bit disappointing as there was no tv in living area the stove did not work and the washer and dryer were not cleaned. Mould in washing machine”

“The home was nice. Private. Quiet. Lots of cobwebs entering the home including the staircase leading to the main living area. Front deck tables filthy, would have been nice to eat out on the deck. Cooked steaks on the grill - no sharp knives - difficult to cut steak with butter knives. No cooking oil. I consider that a staple for any kitchen. Regardless of these issues we did have a nice stay. Might want to speak to your housekeeper and supply the kitchen with sharp knives and cooking oil.”

“Beautiful location and accommodations. Our only complaint is that the internet wasn’t working and we called the management company… and it was never fixed. Worse, we never got any status updates of any kind.”

“If you stay here, bring your own linens and towels. It is in the woods, so I understand having mice. However, mouse droppings were left in the house when we got there. They should have been cleaned and dealt with. The washer and dryer were unusable as they were so dirty. I received a partial refund from Airbnb due to these issues. Only an hour or two after finally receiving a partial refund, DAYS after leaving, I received a false report that the hot tub had been broken - the hot tub we did not even use because it was dirty. BEWARE - if you report and provide real photographic evidence - they will retaliate and make up a charge DAYS LATER!”
