“A wonderful place if you have a large group. Peaceful setting with amazing spaces to hang out, including a game room, fire pit (with wood), hot tub, big dining room table, and bathrooms for every bedroom! Beds were comfy, towels were fluffy, and plenty of comfortable sitting areas in which to watch TV, relax, and converse. Close to golf courses and about 15 minutes outside of old Galena for fun shopping and dining. Walking/running trails nearby, but be ready for a cardio workout on the hills! Correspondence with the owner was excellent. Only negative were the lack of bathmats and shower gel in the bathrooms and kitchen could use a few more cooking essentials (measuring cups, non-stick oil spray for cookware, container/bags/wrap for covering left-overs etc.) but these minor details in no way would keep us from renting again. If your large group is planning on a visit to the Galena area, I would definitely recommend this place!”

“This house was fantastic. We’ve stayed the last three years in galena and this by far was our favorite place. Very roomy- bedrooms were a nice size and beds and pillows were very comfortable. Host proactively reached out due to bad weather and had some great tips. Highly recommend.”

The host was friendly and responsive, and the check-in process was smooth. The kitchen was well-equipped and convenient to use, though having some foil available would be a helpful addition.
