808 Maui Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The place was great! Beautiful view, great spacing in the room, my kids had so much fun staying right by the water.”airbnb

“Requested early check in multiple days in advance, and while they communicated they would let us know, we never heard either way. Finding the building was tricky, but CS was very helpful in doing what they could to resolve the issue (which was ultimately our fault). Property was beautiful and just as described. However on our first and last days there was loud construction that woke us up and persisted for hours. We were told the building was doing maintenance and that it was stop at a certain time. Didn’t even bother contacting on the last day as it felt unnecessary with checkout being so early (we wanted a late checkout, but felt why bother given the first time we asked). All in all a beautiful place, but would likely not return.”airbnb

“Everything was as expected, check-in was easy and the condo was clean and in a quiet remote area with great views. The only issue/concern was the lack of communication between the property management and the host. My family got stuck in the elevator for over 20 minutes and there was no one at the property to help. When calling the host, they lacked the necessary information and point of contact at the property to assist us. We had to call 911 since there was nothing anyone could do. Come to find out, the property manager was not available and out of town. No one at the property to assist us any help, a real let down in my opinion.”airbnb

“The studio is nice but very tiny . The downside is not having the balcony. I have contacted the premises and they didn’t tell me that there are hangers outside. There is no drawers to put your clothes in. I initially felt unsafe due to outside noice in the evening and the windows seem easy to brake in. The coffee maker was full of mold I tried to wash but it was disgusting so ended up spending more on buying coffee every day. I saw 2 lil cockroaches: one in the bathroom on a counter and another one in the kitchen. There were only 2 towels for both beach and bath when I noted that it will be 3 of us. There’s no house manual so didn’t know where to get wifi on but then figured it was on a router. The mattress had yellow stains . The bathroom is very tiny too. No conditioner , only shampoo available. Other than that it was good.i”airbnb

“Enjoyed our stay here. Neighborhood had some interesting people walking around, so locking the car and keeping valuables out of sight was definitely necessary! I wish there had been clearer descriptions of kitchen items provided and what outdoor toys were provided. Kitchen did not even have salt and pepper which was surprising.”airbnb

“We had a great stay here. The apartment is spacious, clean, and worked perfectly for our family — we stayed for a week with our 2-year-old and felt very comfortable. The balcony was amazing — beautiful ocean views and we even spotted whales diving, which was such a cool bonus. Parking was easy with the underground garage, and having quick access to both the pool and the beach was super convenient. We were there during the Kona storm, and the place actually felt like one of the safest spots in the area, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that we would’ve liked a bit more responsiveness from the host when a few questions came up, especially during the storm. Overall, a really great stay — we’d definitely come back.”airbnb

“Bathrooms were not renovated at all as mentioned. Even though I previously mentioned another review about cockroaches there were still by the bed. Coffee maker left all dirty cleaning was not done properly. Not enough sheets, pillow cases or towels nor utensils like spoons forks. These little details make the difference for an experienced airbnb and can boost sales. Location was good communication also but I think as per only 1 previous review of this condo, this is not rented often or newly in portfolio. Cleaner does not do a good job.”airbnb

“Hard to find, dirty hair in the shower. The curtains in the living room are falling apart. Coacraoches in the kitchen daily. Very, very hard to get a hold of support. Was locked out one time for an hour. Requested a 12 p.m. check even before arrival and we never heard anything back. Terrible, terrible customer service. Nice location, but super unprofessional service and unhelpful from the get-go.”airbnb

“Great stay - very nice spot, close to the pool and on an immaculately well maintained and lushly landscaped property. Comms could sometimes have been a little quicker and more thoughtful (esp. our request for somewhere to keep our bags, which was basically ignored). The one nit I would say is that there were either roaches or some other kind of bugs in the kitchen. We didn't cook but this was not ideal.”airbnb
